• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Baja Ron's sway bar

If you live in small town America and only ride inside the city limits, you don't need the BajaRon sway bar. If, however, you ever get out of town and hit the freeway or twisty back roads to some exciting locale, you absolutely NEED that sway bar. Just sayin'

About time Spring makes a slow arrival

I'm curious about the VREDESTEIN QUATRAC 5 175/55R15. How does it feel in turns? Does the tire completely fill the wheel well? My Continental Pro Contact 175/55R15 FILL the wheel well. I cannot run a finger between tire and fender. IRT balance, I bought the set at an auto dealership. Turns...

PLEASE BRP! It's time for an RT refresh!

Many ryders have hit on common notes. Honda Goldwing the same for 17 years. Harley the same for 25 years. And they didn't change for a reason. I cannot imagine how Can Am could get a ryde better than they already have. It seems the new Ryken is to attract the younger buyer who will...

About time Spring makes a slow arrival

I bought Continental Procontact for the front about two weeks after I got the '14 RT. I've got about 40 K on them and still a lot of tread. My Altimax rear didn't fare so well. While standing behind one day when the sun was full on the rear wheel, I read the words 'replace tire' IN the tire...

    New Guy Here

Strrange that nobody suggested taking the Motorcycle Safety Foundation two day safe ryding course. Take It. It is money well spent. I've recommended it before and so, now again. It made me a much better ryder. I hope you have many many safe miles on the machine.

    Frunk Won't Unlatch

Thanks all for your responses. I was thinking major bike overhaul (I'm a pessimist by trade) but...Following some suggestions, I got a strong friend to push down on the center latch while I operated the key. It opened. As as had been suggested, I checked the gasket. Yep. That was it. About...

    Frunk Won't Unlatch

I just got my '14 RT Basic model back from the shop. I opened the frunk once but now cannot. I watched the video published by Finless Bob I found on a forum search. His model has a solenoid that opens the lock. I do not have that (it's how they saved money on the build) so I'm now trying to...

    New Guy Here

Personally, I'd suggest you find and take a Motorcycle Safety course. I took one soon after I bought my '14 RT and it made all the difference in the world. I could ride safer and better... Worth the weekend and money.

    Signature Data

I'd like to add a map of my moto travels to my signature. How is it done and where do you get the map and add that to the mix?

How many of us have those Magic Magnetic mirror mounts?

Nobody answered my question. But to join in, I don't use any tether and have had no issues. They are tight. As I recall, when they were first introduced, they came with a tether. But the inventor decided that they were not needed and stopped including a tether to the package. Tethered or...

How many of us have those Magic Magnetic mirror mounts?

Does anyone know just how many of us bought those fantastic magnetic mirrors. The initial flurry kinda outstripped those available but I expect now it's better. Still would like to know how many. I really enjoy taking mine off just to show off.

    RT Shock Replacement

My '14 plain vanilla RT's first mod was Bajaron Antisway bar. My second mod was Elka front shocks. My third mod was real tires. (conti procontact) and I kept 'improving' the bike. It performs really well, stable in turns and all that an upgraded biker should do. (yeah, bunch of LED lights...

    Air Bag Question

When I leave the bike sitting a couple of weeks, I check the airbag pressure and it is low. I add air but it's usually not a lot. I go to about 50 lbs (I think). In for service (camshaft sensor failed. part on order) I was told that when the bike sits, it just normally leaks down but when I...

    Stop LED hyperflash

I have several tricLED lights and do have the dreaded hyperflashing. There are excellent videos on how to correct it but it seems to come back from time to time. IS there a component that can be added somewhere in the wiring that will forever prevent hyperflashing?

Question about fault codes. 2013 RT

BfromLA told me to push and hold mode AND settings buttons, then blinker (as in cancelling) and a code will be displayed. It works really well. Thanks Brandon.

    Dash Indicator/Warning lights

Thanks for the help. Am I to assume you'll be sending a certified check for $4,500 in the mail? I'll wait for it. The code by the way was easy to find, thanks to Bfromla. Push the two top buttons (eco and whatever that other one is and the turn signal cancellation button and the codes...

    Dash Indicator/Warning lights

Thanks for the info. Where in the manual is the chart that was provided? I KNEW someone would say 'transport to dealer.' I hated hearing that but most likely the smart idea. And just yesterday, I was thinking I had been lucky to never have had an issue with the bike. Curses! The problem...

    Dash Indicator/Warning lights

Today was a great day for a ride. I rode about 80 miles west and then turned and came back. About 30 miles West of home, there is a Starbucks (which I learned is illegal to pass by) All was well. When I left the shop, I got an engine light icon flashing on occasionally over the space where...
