• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Spyder on fire

Pretty sure I remember in one of the updates that changed the cycling of the vent solenoid that BRP added a longer hose to the cannister that went forward and exited thru the splash plate behind the radiator on the right. But I guess it could have just been one of our members that did that for...

    Spyder on fire

Yes it was. So a large number of Spyders have probably been altered and thus the marked reduction in fires. Do I remember right that this particular Spyder had not had that done?:dontknow:

    More RS windshield questions...

I have the ESI 4" risers and the Madstadt shield as well as the CHAD. There is no interference with either shield. I am 6' 0" and both shields stay out and away from the body of the Spyder to get minimal buffeting. With the Chad the rain will crawl up the shield and then pop off the top of the...

    Kontour Seat.......

I've read nothing but good things about the seat. I guess I was expecting it to cost in the 700's not almost 900.....thus the shock.

    steering lock

I've never been able to get mine to lock either.......and so I never lock it. If theft is that much of a problem just get a heavy duty cable and hardened lock. Put that thru a wheel and part of the frame and it's not going anywhere.

2 things confirmed on todays ryde

Missouri law requires you to use your horn when passing on a two lane road. I find that a quick beep-beep is a friendly "here I come" versus a long blast on the horn is a not so friendly :cus: outa-my-way :cus: It's not the loudness of the horn, it's how you use it. :doorag:

    Stuck in the mountains

You have the dubious distinction of having the first one that I've heard of fail. :yikes: Your dealer is correct in that it has no clamp around it. But you are correct that it is two (actually more if you include the stuff inside) pieces put together at the factory though not intended to ever...

    Raincoat Water Repellent

Yes :doorag: It's much like waxing (or maybe exactly like waxing) the windshield. The water will bead up and roll off though not exactly like it does with RainX. However, RainX isn't necessarily safe on the windshield while Pledge is.

    Summer Mesh Jackets --Pros/Cons

I think it was the "I'll stick to the mesh jacket" that prompted my response. And I totally agree, I think the mesh jacket is the way to go in places, unlike AZ, where there is high humidity. It was what you wear under the mesh jacket that has my attention. Whose cooling vest do you use? I've...

    Summer Mesh Jackets --Pros/Cons

I think that the idea is to wear the LDComfort shirt under the mesh jacket rather than the typical cotton T.

    Summer Mesh Jackets --Pros/Cons

If only I lived in AZ:coffee: At 6:00AM it's 66F and the Rel Humidity is right at 95% :yikes: Which means that when it gets to 89 today the Rel Humidity, if we're lucky, will drop into the mid 60's. In this kind of weather you need the all mesh jacket because you are desperately trying to get...
