• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any issues getting parts for Bushtec Trailers air system?

For those of you with Bushtec trailers. From what I understand these trailers have an air shock/ air leveling system. I would think at some point this system would need repaired or replaced. I see a number of nice looking used Bushtec trailers for sale dating back 25 to 30 years. Is there an...

Red Dust of Death Recall???? Front Sprocket Recall - FINALLY....

My recall notice includes the statement: “If you continue to drive your vehicle before the sprocket replacement we recommend that you go to your dealer for the interim repair procedure.” What is the “interim repair procedure”? It isn’t a sprocket replacement based on the above comment. I’ve...

F3 Trunk Pop - Problem Fixed

Just a quick note concerning this fix. The video of DIY dad mentions at time marker 4:00 about the locking pin will want to slide down when it is loosened. **This is important to be aware of.** My locking pin slid down when I loosened it and I didn’t put it back into place when I was...

Tire Wear - how much more mileage can I expect?

Thanks for all the comments. Having to change the rear tire so often is getting a bit tiresome (forgive the pun). After many years of doing most of my own maintenance I was hoping to allow the dealer to take over some of this work, ie tire replacement. However, with the frequency of needed...

Tire Wear - how much more mileage can I expect?

I know! Not another question concerning tire wear. This question isn’t about best or worst tires or auto vs motorcycle tires. I’m also most appreciative of other members past comments concerning this. I’m seeing only 2.64 mm of tread left until the wear bar on my rear Kenda K9 on a 2019 F3L...

    Gas Cap Hissing

Has anyone experienced a hissing sound from the gas tank after shut down. Opening the gas cap stops the sound. This infrequently occurs, 2019 F3L. The last time with the tank on the empty side. My research on this site is relatively old, 2016, and this didn’t seem to result is much concern...

Is this Torque for rear brake caliper bolts too high?

My maintenance manual states that the torque value for the two rear caliper bolts should be 77 ft./lbs. This seems really high. 2019 F3L Any comments? Poasttown

F3L mirror shell keeps coming off

Dang Although I have not had this issue with my 2019 F3L, as preventative maintenance I placed a length of clear two inch wide packaging tape on the underside of the mirror shell. I’m not sure if this actually helps but thought it might do some good. I’m also not sure if there is any long term...

What Portable jump starters are you using?

What portable jump starters are forum members using/carrying to start their spyder in case of a dead battery? Plus, when jump starting can you connect them via the pigtail used for a battery maintainer or do they need to be directly attached to the battery terminals to work properly? I...

Idler pulley has wear marks at 300 miles - it's coming off!

I took a quick look at my (2019 F3L) OEM dampener roller today and it has two groves similar to yours but not near as pronounced. The roller is working fine, I have not done any work with the belt tension and have not, as of yet, closely inspected the belt. I installed the vibration dampener...
