• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Durango Spyderfest??

I think BRP has bigger problems than the location of the Owners Rally. My granddaughter is hoping for Durango so she can visit The Four Corners. The sooner they come out with place and date the more time she has for planning. She is ten (going on 40) now. Since I totaled her Spyder last August I...

    Belt Replacement - Anyone Else?

I lost my belt on my 2010 with 43000 miles. Looked like someone stripped the grooves out of it. New belt and a thousand mles later I total the bike because some guy thought he had the right of way. Two stop signs and the flashing red light didn't mean anything to him.:dontknow:

    Impressed

I know mine worked last summer when I was going down the road and my hands started sweating. My three year old grandson likes buttons and switches. When bike is shut off the heaters stop working but the switch does not shut off, so the next time you start up the bike the heaters come on again.:gaah:

    I Wonder Why...

Quiet as BRP is it's scary. We are in the Christmas season and no word on the 2014s. Accessories are available but no bike to install them on ??? The price on used bikes is actually high. Plenty of 2013s available at good prices with incentives but still not moving. Some used 2011 & 2012s are...

Making the 2013 Spyder RT-S "Perfect"

I can sympathise with you on the hand brake. Had it on my 2010 . My reason for putting it on at the time was I had a broken right ankle. Like you I rode two-wheelers for many years using the front brake. Habits are hard to break. The system does not change the Spyder braking system in any way...

Earnest Money Waiting List for a 2014

I totaled my bike in August. Now waiting for check from insurance. Might have to buy a 2013 so I can ride next year. According to the dealer I went to they haven't had any problems with the 2013s. With the discounts they are giving and the extended warranty that go with it the 13s are looking...

    Small passenger

My granddaughter rides with me all the time. She has even gone to Maggie Valley with me two years ago. She has done The Tail of the Dragon. I installed the Corbin arm rests on my RT (She spotted them on line and asked me to get them) Best thing I could have done. She can't fall out because there...

    Flat trunk key

Key only works on your bike. Will open your trunk. You put your spare in the trunk. Believe me it is not easy finding a loose key in that trunk. I keep the replica in the small trunk. A thief would have to find the replica then figure out which trunk or if under seat. A lot of thinking for a...

    Nova Scotia Trip.

You just missed the Bluenose Rally in the Annapolis Area (Kentville). I was in that area from June 26 to July 1. Beautiful area, just about all areas are. Most prorably you will be going to the Cabot Trail. The ride is beautiful. Go counter clockwise, keeping the ocean on your right. Hope for a...

What dealer would you recommend in the Knoxville area?

Both dealers are good. The people in that area are lucky. I used Mountain Motorsport when I went to the Owners Rally this year. Nice people and the mechanic I had there was no question that he knew what he was doing.

    Maine Rydes?

I finally get to ride and the weather changes to the worst. Was going to take Spyder to Orland this weekend but can't take the chance. Sholder needs to mend some more. Any of you going to The Owners Rally? So far everything is go for me.

Extended Warranty...re: (is this a high maintenance vehicle post)

My BRP warranty ran out last June. In July I broke down and took it to the dealer. My share of the bill was $1500. Lucky for me BRP warrantied the throttle slide since this was the third one. I wish I had known about Best Warranty. Now I can't get it and I can't afford to trade it in. Learn...
