• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Vibration

:welcome: I think it's great that you are gathering intel before going to the dealer. I have a 2014 Rt-S and also experienced slight vibration, not really enough to bother me but worth mentioning to my dealer. One vibration was at 55mph which I felt was front tires and the other, like you at...

    my F3 ride

I had the same thought at first, however I think he mentioned the fact simply to explain why he got to ride the F3, the rest is simply from a motorcycle enthusiasts point of view, IMO. We will all get a chance at a test drive, and some of the toughest critics are here;)

    Dealers out of the loop.

Hi there, was curious as to what dealer you are purchasing your Spyder from. I got my first Spyder 2012 RT-S from Factory Recreation in Midland.

    New spyder owner-Very Disappointed!!!

I still think you purchased a fantistic bike but like the others have said didn't get a fantastic dealer. i mentioned the vibration at 90k (55mph) to my dealer and was told we'll have a look but may replace the tires, which they did, I also mentioned my key would stick once in a while, no...

feel i need to defend myself

John, I too haven't agreed with all your posts, so I simply ignored those. I get a kick out of your sense of humor and enjoy the tidbits you present. I also appreciate you sharing the experiences with your Spyder. I do not think the best resolution is to stop talking. I think there can...

    Your opinion please...RT-SE6 vs. RTS-SE6

I also went with the RTS and the additional cost. Most of the additional items are cosmetic but I liked the RTS overall better than the RT, plus more color selection, I got the cognac. Is the additional cost worth it? Well perhaps not, but I know I would be second guessing my self if I got...

Who here has bought a demo?

My 2012 RT-S was a demo with about 800 miles on it. I found it on the internet, bought it sight unseen, after doing due diligence on the dealers reputation. Then I flew 1000 miles, picked it up and drove it home. It was a great deal and not a single issue with the bike.

Need a little help & advice about my 2014 RT Limited, Please!

I agree with Princeau99, wait until Monday and discuss with the Manager and/or owner as they were the ones you made the agreement with. I also think the tech in over his head, I can't imagine how it would take all day to do the little work he accomplished. As for 2nd battery, I can't help...

    Still on the fence?

:agree: I had a 2012 trouble free RT-S and in June got a 2014 RT-S and couldn't be happier. On my break in service, dealer replaced the front tires and the ignition, so I didn't even consider them issues. Now I discovered I have a slow leak on my rear tractor tire, and at 1300 lbs it's a...

    can you believe this question?

Spyder problem, no help in manual

That is serious trouble indeed Joe. Here's what I would do, go to the manual, on page 108 is the safety message. Find some good sharp scissors, cut it out a nd then duck tape it to the glove box door, on the outside of course where you can read at any time:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack: Then...

    Horsepower.....something to think about

Yes a knot is traveling one nautical mile an hour, but before more modern technology, a rope was tied of in knots a specific distance apart and they counted the number of knots that went over the side in 30 seconds to determine the number of nautical miles per hour travelled. It is coincidence...
