• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    ROBO BRACKET VS CHAD BRACKET

I have had both on my Spyder. The Madstad Robo Brackets are infinitely more adjustable than Chad. With a 22" Madstad screen I have found the airflow much smoother with minimal buffeting. Way better than my experience with CHAD. Be prepared to try several different positions to find your "sweet...

    Installed CHAD windshield.

I have the Madstad system. Way more adjustment and being a single curve screen , minimal distortion. Mind you I always look just over the screen anyway. However windscreens seem a very personal choice so I hope Chad works out for you.

    Windshield measurement?

Madstad is the way to go. :2thumbs: I have had several including Chad and nothing is anywhere near as effective, adjustable and versatile. Get the screen Mark supplies with the brackets - it all works well together.

MadStad or CHAD: Has the jury reached a verdictd?

I have had the BRP touring screen, added a Laminar lip (no use to me), went to CHAD for 6 months and have had Madstad now for 6 months. I am 6ft, use a 3" riser and Madstad is way and above the best for me.:2thumbs:

    Extreme Heat

The "missing air dam" is a great idea but I cannot see that fixing the hot right foot issue at all. I am extremely satisfied with my fix. I found the problem pretty much eliminated by sticking a bit of thin plastic (notenbook cover) onto the scoop to close up the 25mm gap between the existing...

WindShield help between Mel's or Cal Sci

In my opinion we are all different sizes and have different riding positions so for a windscreen to be "all things to all people" it really needs to be completely adjustable in angle and height. As Mark says on his web site- www.robobrackets.com " This is a complete drop-in...

    Lower engine temperature

Of course we are heading into winter here be we are still around the 75- 80 deg F at the moment. My gauge fluctuates between 4 and 5. Never below. In summer on the highway my ambient air temp showed 45 deg C - around 110 deg F. Will be very interested to see how it goes.

    seat belt and airbag

I don't want a seat belt (dangerous on a Spyder IMHO) but my Hitair jacket has no affect in any way on my riding pleasure. You would never know really that the airbag facility was even there UNLESS you were spat of the bike. I have hit the road from a BMW (in my youth) at 120 KMPH and I don't...

    seat belt and airbag

+1 for Hitair jackets. :2thumbs: I have a mesh summer one and a full length winter one. You take your airbag with you when you leave the bike.:joke:
