• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    "Restrooms are for customers only"

Suppose this case had been a Jewish baker who was asked to decorate a cake with a Swastika on it. Virtually everyone in the country would agree with his right to refuse to decorate a cake in that manner, right? That is exactly the issue here. The baker did not refuse to make a cake but he did...

    "Restrooms are for customers only"

You are correct. The point I was trying to make was that this SCOTUS ruling applied solely to this one business only and was not intended to create a market-wide standard.

    "Restrooms are for customers only"

'Businesses" should be singular. SCOTUS specifically did NOT rule on a business-wide right of a business to refuse customers based upon religious or personal issues. They ruled only on one case - that of the CO baker who refused to create a cake for a gay wedding...

There used to be a bar and grill straddling the NY-CT border near Port Chester. CT side had to close down at midnight while NY side could stay open another couple of hours. Weird.

    National Doughnut Day...

So, years ago on a blissful Sunday morning, I rode out on my XS650 find some doughnuts for breakfast. It was my girlfriend's house and I was not familiar with the area so I searched for awhile and spotted a "Boulangerie" in a strip mall. I could tell by the smell they had what I wanted so I...

    Cows vs Crows

The Highways Agency found over 200 dead crows on the M42 near Birmingham recently, and there was concern that they may have died from Avian Flu. A Pathologist examined the remains of all the crows, and, to everyone's relief, confirmed the problem was NOT Avian Flu. The cause of death appeared...

    New Spyderlover looking for advice

I don't want to start a tax debate but would like to make a clarification (and I know you are talking about buying from a dealer): My state does not charge sales tax on a private citizen to private citizen transaction. If you buy from a dealer (in or out of state) or the seller has a...

    Handbrake on RT - Opinion

One other "benefit" of using the hand brake..... The Spyder gets all upset when you fail to remove your foot from the foot brake. You will not have that problem using the hand brake.

    For you BRP

Perhaps it would be better understood if we adopted the British nomenclature for the storage units: Bonnet for the front and boot for the rear.

    News Gets Worse for Harley

I think your comment on not getting outside as 50 years ago is spot on. Not only the cost of doing so but the crowded conditions of our major highways and in some cases lack of maintenance makes touring not nearly as satisfying as back in mid-century. During the 60's and 70's I used to take...

    Handbrake on RT - Opinion

I bought my Spyder specifically because it had the hand brake installed and would not drive without it. The sitting position on my RTL is bad enough that, coupled with a bad right hip, brings intense pain when lifting my foot to operate the foot brake. Very poor engineering by BRP IMHO. The...
