• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Spyderweb Across America

I believe the road between Hannibal and Hwy 70 is a great ryde. Has the hills and views, is rural, and has curves but alas not too many of the twisties (of the likes of Dragon's Tail kind. Lol). Also the road from the intersection of Hwy 40/Hwy 94 along South Hwy 94 to Washington and Herman...

Gonna have to back out of this month's ryde. :( Really sad about it, but life has gotten in the way this weekend. Who woulda thought with it being the 4th of July? So...maybe you all can wait for the Tom Sauk ryde another time. LOL Have a great time. Ryde safe. We'll be thinking of you.

    Suggestions for next year

I'd love to have the Owner's Event once again at MV mainly because I'd love to go to the Carolina's AND to Lamont's bbq. The last two years, I didn't own a spyder, this year I do but due to other commitments, I couldn't make it. So I'd like to go at least once. We've heard really great things...

    how much do you love

I'm rather a newbie as far as ryding is concerned, but I have to say... I LOVE my spyder. I find reasons to get out on it all the time. Craziness!!!! I also wanted to add that I have a friend who IS a long time bike rider (like you) and he says the same thing you did as far as loving the...

HUSBAND RIDING B_ _ CH IN MAGGIE VALLEY?

My hubby and I sorta made a rule. If he rides with me on my bike, he has to be the passenger. As of right now, we only have the one spyder. LOL It also helped until today that he hadn't yet taken the MSC. I just heard literally a minute ago, he passed the driving portion. So now, I don't know...

    Spyders are crawling out....

and are being seen everywhere this weekend!!! I've been ryding all weekend and have seen 2 roadsters and 1 RT since yesterday besides me on the roads. Yesterday, I noticed a convoy of bikes heading toward the back country roads (yes, as crazy as it seems, we do actually still have a few of...

    Another motorcyclist pondering a Spyder

I think if you're looking for something that you'll feel safer with toting your children, then I'd choose the :spyder2: in a heartbeat! They will LOVE the ryde and you'll have better peace of mind. However, the feel you personally get with a two-wheeled bike is NOT the same with this kind of...

    MO GANG/Cowtown RYDE

Mike and I had a great time yesterday at the bbq and visiting. I'm bummed that we had to miss the ride to the Lake, yet happy to be with everyone for a short while. Next time, we'll plan for the ENTIRE day so we won't miss ALL the fun! Don't think we would've done the tatoos, but they...

    Lady Spyder Ryders Wearables

I know I've already placed my opinion, but I agree with the above poster. When can I get one? Are the shirts gonna be in color with the graphic in black/white? I like everything on the sample you provided.

    Lady Spyder Ryders Wearables

I LOVE the design... Great idea! Just a thought, though... some women might not want to be referred as "girl". How about "lady" instead? And the only reason I say this is because I once referred to a woman as a girl and she reamed up one side and down the other, and I never forgot after that...

RS High Windshield Thoughts and Poll

I'm not going to vote for the poll primarily because while I don't agree with arntufun, I don't think he's a jerk. So there is nothing I can answer that fits the choices he provided. I like the taller windshield mostly because I don't like bugs on my chest. I can take the wind, but not the...

    Newbie

My $.02... A traditional motorcycle is basically a two-wheeled machine, (though some have trike conversions), that require the rider to put their foot/feet down on the ground when at a stop and to lean into curves, which I have to say is part of the fun of these kinds of bikes. Some of the...

    New to the Spyder world!

:welcome::congrats: I'm rather new myself to the :spyder: world with only about 1000 miles ryding. The only tip I can give is to practice riding ...it gets easier and MORE FUN as you get used to the machine. I had trouble initially with the turns so I practiced a lot in my neighborhood going...
