• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Can Am Leaning Trike Patent

I think it will do great! You could argue that a tilting spyder would be even more stable, especially when cornering. I doubt they would produce something that flops right over when sitting still. To me it sounds like the best of both motorcycle and spyder attributes. I'm sure it will be...

    Another tire replacement question

Proxes 4 works for me. My only other experience is with the stock tire, and the Proxes 4 seems to be superior.

    Grip Puppies?

I had Grip Puppies. They worked well for a short while. One of them started splitting and eventually ripped in half. I should have just bought decent grips in the first place. However, I'm sure other people have probably had better luck.

    Recommendations for accessories purchases

I've used SHS powersports with great luck. I don't have much confidence in the integrity or competence of the dealer closest to me. Although I do check in with them occasionally. Mainly just hoping they change things a bit (management), but I'm always dissapointed. Reno's Yamaha in the south...

    Rear wheel removal

It's not too big of a job. The belt alignment is the hardest part. Just get a copy of the shop manual, so you have all the proper torque specs.

    Two production touring trikes...

If you get it figured out for the M109R, I'll be in line very quickly. I love those bikes. I can't get the thought of a Tri-Rod type M109R out of my head!!!

    Honda Trike

Rent her a convertible. She'll be comfortable, and you'll have a trail vehicle. A long roadtrip is not the time to learn how to ride a completely different vehicle.

    I am seriously

I'm certainly not opologizing for my opinion. Everyone is entitled to have one of their own. I am sorry that some didn't read my post carefully enough to understand my thoughts were in regards to the appearance of the RT, not about the riders. I guess I'll have to spell everything out in...

    I am seriously

CanAnn and Fast Fraser, I think you both fixated on the wrong part of my post. I was making two points, that I guess I'll spell out much more explicitly before I hurt anyone's feelings. The first is my opinion of the dimensions. The RT looks much bigger and somewhat portly compared to the...

    I am seriously

Absolutely wrong! I love my RS. I would say comparing the two is like comparing an sveltd athlete to an incredibly obese couch potato. If I want to be able to run a marathon and play sports, it's better to be an athlete. However, if you're more concerned with winning an eating contest, it's...

    Cable hand brake

Not to dwell on this too much, but it would make a terrible ATV if that's what you want to call it. With roughly 6 inches of ground clearance and a nanny that will kick in on something as tame as a gravel road, I doubt it is ready for trails or any other rough terrain. So, not even close to an...

    Cable hand brake

I think BRP sticks to their guns, because the Spyder was not designed as a motorcycle. They market it as a roadster. How many other roadsters have hand brakes? I see the point of the motorcyclists that want one, but there are many differences between riding a spyder and riding a motorcycle...

    More Mods

Thanks! The logo is actually one of the custom accessories that No Magic sold. It started out silver and has slowly started discoloring to a gold-ish tint.

    How was your weather?

30 degrees. Pretty darn cold, but at least it's dry and no salt....yet.

    More Mods

RT Shocks I had time to get the RT shocks assembled and put on the Spyder this weekend. Of course, once they were on the Spyder, I had to take it for a test drive. 30 degrees doesn't make for great test driving weather, but I put on the winter gear and it wasn't too bad. The verdict: Like...

    Fluid leak

Check all your clamps on the lines. If they are not the culprit, check the reservior bottle. I had one of the clamps break on mine, so I replaced it and refilled with 50/50 mix. Everything is good now! Others have had problems with the reservior bottle cracking. No need to go to the dealer...

    Snow and Ice

Thanks Seth, but my truck may be mexican too. Some of the 2010 Tacomas were made in California and some were made in Mexico before they moved manufacturing to San Antonio, TX.

    Snow and Ice

This is my winter weather driving mod. Not only do I get great traction, but I have wonderful protection from the other drivers sliding around. I know I'm making fun of the situation, but you have to remember that while you're sliding around on your spyder, something else that is probably...

    Oil warm up time?

Start your Spyder then finish putting all your gear on. Once you've got all your gear on, it will probably be at one bar minimum. Like others have said, you should let it warm up to one bar before you put load on the motor anyway.

    I need some help, please

I guess I'm late, but I'll go ahead and post for anyone else that may be looking for a backrest. I went with Mels Monster Garage and have been very happy. It is easily attached or removed when my wife decides to join me. I also think it looks nice.
