• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Windshield with the passenger in mind

UPDATE A big thanks to Don at F4 Customs. I installed the F4 Customs 32" windshield Saturday. We rode a couple of hundred miles yesterday and today. (The weather was great here in the deep south this weekend.) The windshield just puts the air-flow over my wife's helmet in the upper position...

Windshield with the passenger in mind

Thanks to those that responded. From the few responses, it looks like the F3 is pretty much a single rider machine. Lee

Windshield with the passenger in mind

I have been reading all of the threads I could find on windshields but have not been able to determine what works for the passenger. Is anyone who consistently rides an F3 with a passenger using an F4 Customs windshield? If so, which size shield do you have and does it give some wind...

    1st Service Cost

3000 Mile Service About $350 for the first service on the itemized receipt on my F3. There is a long list of things that were supposedly checked. I did get the extended warranty and a service plan when purchased so hopefully no out of pocket $$ for a few years:ohyea:. Lee

    Valves tapping

Almost 4000 miles on our F3. I have not noticed any "tapping" that would be as consistently repetitive as a valve or lifter. Some engine noise, but it's really out in the open on the F3. Lee

    rode yesterday

We rode about 150 miles on Saturday. Weather was overcast and windy.... but temperature was in the upper 70s. It was really a nice day for a "winter" ride in south MS.

    Need help with power outlet

I have added the 12V outlet under the seat on our F3. I believe the part number (from the 2015 accessory catalog) you need is 12V · 219400366. The catalog actually shows a USB and 12V version in the F3 section. Enjoy the ride! Lee

Happy new Spyder owner in Virginia

Congrats and welcome to "open-air" travelling:ohyea:. Ride safe. I'm a new member to the site, but there is a lot of wisdom here for reference. I also recommend reading the Do's and Do Not's posts as previously noted. At least you will not have to "un-learn" how to ride a 2 wheeler.

    F3 Saddlebag Solution

Thanks pharrow48 for all of the info on the bags, mounts, and the installation. I ordered the same mounts and bags you described shortly after we purchased our F3. The install was easy and the bags look great on the F3. The bags also installed easily with the Can-Am passenger backrest. Lee

    3000 Miles of Smiles

Thanks Yes we have had quite a few questions about the Spyder. Some from folks that have been considering a Spyder and had not seen an F3. I believe we have been good representatives for the brand so far! We took a 900 hundred mile ride on the Natchez Trace a couple of weeks ago and I think...

    3000 Miles of Smiles

We purchased a new F3 in July and have been reading the forums as a guest since then. Just had the first service done. So far it has been a blast! My wife has loved the Spyders since she saw the first one. The F3 is the one that sealed the deal for me. Thanks for all of the wisdom so far, Lee
