• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What's this shaft for on Left Side of my RTL under/behind front sprocket?

It is the shifting shaft. You have a SE6, so the shaft is not used.

    Pain in the A..

I had the same issue with my 2015 F3-S. I bought an Egg Sitter gel pad. Works great.

    Bad Key

I had the problem about a 6 months ago (2015 F3-S SE6) and my local dealer reset everything and it went away. But it is back again. Happens to me daily as well. No clue way. I just turn the key on and off several times till it starts. I carry both keys with me, just in case. Fails on both...

Horrible handling issue with major wind gusts

Slow down! I ride the Riverside area every day to and from work (2015 F3-S SE6). On the windy days I slow down to under 65 and have no issues. I agree the Baja Ron sway bar will help. On days I know it is going to be windy, I throw on a 20lb sandbag in the frunk. Helps a lot!

    Electrical Question

I have a 2015 Spyder F3-S with a Shark 1000w amplifier for audio. I connect my iPhone to the amp via the aux port. I also have installed a USB port for power for my iPhone. System works great if the iPhone is not connected to the USB port. When the iPhone is connected to the USB for power, I...

F3-T SE transmission metallic thrashing noise

Font belt sprocket? Check front belt sprocket. I suspect the grinding that you are hearing might be the sprocket spinning on the shaft.

    F3 Front Sprocket Inspection

I feel your pain! I have been through this twice. Unfortunately for me, I did not catch the issue before it went out. Dealerships won't do anything without BRP direction while under warranty. Same process each time: a. 1-2 days to troubleshoot the issue and report to BRP for direction (it is...

    F3 Front Sprocket Inspection

So what is the correct installation of the sprocket? Part number on the outside with lip on the inside or visa versa? What does BRP say is the life expectancy of the part? With the amount of miles I drive each year (over 20,000 miles) I will have to replace it every year at the rate mine have...

    F3 Front Sprocket Inspection

BRP Response This is what BRP emailed me about the picture I sent them when asked about the sprocket being installed backwards: "one of my technician verified the picture and told me that either side the sprocket is installed that should not make any difference." :banghead::banghead::banghead...

Back in the shop for the second time this year!

I was reading another threat following this issue and it someone had mentioned about the sprocket being installed backwards. If you look at the picture you will notice no part number! That means it was installed backwards by the dealer that fixed it the first time! Glad I had a different shop...

    F3 Front Sprocket Inspection

In shop for the second time for sprocket failure The local shop checked the shaft and said that it was within specs. They will be installing a new sprocket ending in part number 2134. This is the second replacement sprocket. (Original failed - 28,000 miles, first replacement failed - 6000...

Repair Update The local shop checked the shaft and said that it was within specs. They will be installing a new sprocket ending in part number 2134. Should have it back with in the 10 days. This is the second replacement sprocket. Time will tell how long this one will last (Original -...

    F3 Front Sprocket Inspection

I'm curious on your two 2015 F3SE's if they both have the same part number on the sprocket? Also when they were build at the factory. Could it be that there is a range of Spyders that where made with a different manufactures part? Also check your S/N to see if they are close to the same.

    Kill Switch vs. Fumble-Fingered Hank

I had it happen several times also.:banghead: Luckily I was on city streets when it happened. Always thought about drilling a hole through it and put a tooth pick thru it like motorcycle racers do.

    F3 Front Sprocket Inspection

Second failure after 6000 miles The new dealer said that the shaft should have been replaced the first time because the sprocket will not fit tight and will move on the sprocket when accelerating or slowing down causing the sprocket to wear faster. This is a picture what it looks like this time.

Back in the shop for the second time this year!

Shaft and sprocket stripped! I contacted BRP and they agreed that I can use my local dealer to do the repair. Dealer said that the entire engine and transmission will need to be removed to replace the shaft. Hopefully it will last longer than 6000 miles like the previous repair!!!
