• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT Limited GPS mount not charging GPS

I assume that your GPS is a Garmin zumo 590LM. If it is, it is possible that the power cable or the ground cable from the battery to your mount is not connected. This is possible if the battery has been replaced. If your GPS mount has been installed correctly, then, with the ignition OFF mount...

    Garmin map update.

Plug your zumo into your computer, then start up Garmin Express. The two should "link up" and then you'll be shown your options for updating, if an update is available for your GPS.

    Garmin590 GPS trouble!!!

That sucks! However, if you like your 590 (I like mine very much) then $180 is better than changing it out for something else. Remember, that harness for the 590 isn't cheap. If you check on YouTube for Garmin screen replacement there are many videos, but I couldn't find one that shows how to do...

    2017 vs 2018 RT Limited

That sounds about right. Isn't there still a BRP discount available on left over 2018's? https://can-am.brp.com/on-road/promotions.html This is not official, but anecdotal. My local mechanic could swear that the 2018 suspension is different from the 2017 suspension. He said that the 2018 seemed...

    Any suggestions on Keeping Warm?

It's not nearly as bad as you may think. You can hook up two items to one set of connectors that go to the battery. So, all told, for all four garments you're only dealing with two plugs. It's as difficult as hooking up a charging plug for a battery tender. The connector that goes to the garment...

    2018 RT Limited improvements

2018RTL's only came with the SE6. The 2018RT has the option of either SE6 or SM6. Also, the 2018RT (not the Limited) has driver foot pegs and passenger floorboards, with either SE6 or SM6.

QUESTION ON CHARGING MY SENA 10

As people have learned, Lithium ion batteries have a limit on how many times they can be re-charged. At some point, a battery replacement is needed. My answer to your question is don't leave it plugged in indefinitely. If the battery becomes completely drained it only takes a few hours to fully...

    Any suggestions on Keeping Warm?

My preference for cold weather riding, is heated gear. I've gone the non-heated gear route for years, but kept getting cold enough that riding for longer than an hour caused issues. I finally invested in heated gear. After much research I chose Warm n Safe. https://www.warmnsafe.com/ I use the...

    Brown dust on rear tire

Have look at this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f67875iPuOg The mechanic is diagnosing a "grumbling" sound near the front of the bike. Also, take a look at 11:12 mark. The mechanic shows what the front pulley looks like when the splines have failed, and the color of the dust.

    Wintertime gloves

My recommendation is for Warm n Safes Ultimate Touring Heated Glove. I know you said you don't want to deal with heated gloves, but these are so good that I would buy them and use them without the heat. The leather is extremely supple. They fit my hands extremely well, too (that's something that...

A suggestion.... Just a suggestion. If this, or anything similar, occurs again, take a video on your smart phone. It could help you or the service department to diagnose the problem.

    stranded with bad gasoline

IF you are going to siphon the fuel from the tank in the hope of curing the problem you will also need to pull the spark plugs. Why the spark plugs? To keep from damaging the connecting rods while you're pumping (I am assuming that you would be using the starter to turn the engine and the fuel...
