• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Waiting on 2018 F3-S to arrive from iMotorsports!

TORX Drivers A basic tool set is a set of TORX drivers.; Manual ones, not bits for a power driver. With a power driver it's easy to cross thread the brass inserts that hold the body panels on and strip them. Can Am won't sell you new inserts, you have to buy entire panels. A decent...

Mystery area near ignition. What is this for?

safe We were OK, the fires only got to within two miles of us. They mostly burned the open areas and I the worst locations the first row of houses above Foothill Rd. I moved to Sun City West Az in June. I guess I should update my profile.

    F3S passenger comfort

rreplacement Probably a Corbin or Daylong would help. I went the custom route since I had a custom saddlemaker in Ventura where I used to live.

    Starter Problem?

sorry I wasn't clear, I meant to say BOTH ends although corrosion is more likely at the battery connections.

    Starter Problem?

cables Before resorting to changing an expensive starter, I'd clean and retighten both the positive and negative battery cables. It could be as simple as a little corrosion under a clamp.

    bike insurance

progressive I was just transitioned to Progressive by AAA when I moved to Arizona. One thing to be careful of is that the basic Progressive policy only covers $3,000.00 in farkles. I had to add another $3,000.00 in additional coverage. I was surprised about just how much I've spent on...

storage Yo can rent a ten foot long storage unit in a self-storage facility to keep your Spyder and riding gear. It looks like the rates run between forty and one twenty bucks a month.

    damn horn !!

Denalt Soundbomb I installed a Denali Soundbomb. It comes as a combined compressor and horn, or (what I installed) a split unit. I mounted the compressor where the factory horn was to simplify wiring and mounting the heaviest component, and placed the horn in the radiator plenum so the sound...

    Best Trailer For Hauling Spyder

ultimate trailer I got a quote from them. It was just about six grand for a loaded open trailer. It looks like a great trailer, but that's pretty steep in my opinion.

    New to the Spyder Family

conex If you have the space, check out used conex containers. I just took a quick look online and found the prices for a 20 footer run from about $1,200.00 to $4,000 depending on condition. I would think they would be a good choice, water and weatherproof and strong with theft resistant...

Clutch is extremely heavy to operate for me

clutch assist I had the clutch assist added to my 2015 F3. It's well worth the approximate $400.00 parts and labor price tag. The Spyder is much easier to ride and it even made shifting into neutral easier.

    Rider Training Class

good info I took the Arizona Trike class last weekend. I wish I had taken one when I bought my F3. It was informative and despite a year and a half's riding, I learned a lot about my bike. I've never really pushed the bike at low speeds and was astonished at just how poor the grip on the...

    Plain F3 or F3S??

F3s I'd go with the F3S rather than the base model. I've got a 2015 F-3 and the power level i about right. I'm going to add cruise control soon since my hand gets tired on long freeway runs. But my bike looks nothing like a F-3 anymore. I was taking the Arizona Trike Course last week and...

How Far on a Tank of Gas

range I usually go about two hundred miles between fill ups, I've only exceeded that once and went about two forty before the low fuel light came on. Unless I'm buzzing around town, I don't take chances and fill up at a quarter tank or so. Better safe than stranded on the side of the road.

    strange icon.....

timing is everything It's the beginning of riding season in many places and your dealer is probably swamped with people who made reservations weeks or months ago to have their Spyders/Seadoos/4 wheelers tuned and prepped for this year. It doesn't sound like a critical failure since you have...

    F3 Clutch Assist Buyer Beware

some jobs are worth paying to have done I paid the dealer for a hour's labor to have it installed. The total was under $400.00 parts and labor in California where labor is expensive. It was well worth the money. Yes the factory should have built a lighter clutch, but it's a minor failing...

    Which F3 model?

BlueRidge Unless you are short, don't buy a Blueridge. They dump the air right into your face at freeway speed if you are over six feet. Go with a F4 Custom or one of the other aftermarket shields. Better quality at a lower price. The Shad bags are nice, but they are easy to install-do...
