• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2019 F3 illegal in the US?

The fender tip lights/turn signals aren't daytime running lights. The DTLs are the headlights that are on anytime the engine is running. That's why no one is paying any attention to you, your complaint has no basis in fact.

    Curious Question About Touring (F3-S)

Shad Bags The Shad bags grow on you. When I installed mine I intended to remove them when not needed, but now the bike looks naked without them. I like the look much better than the Can Am bags.

    horn location

It's tough to find. I had to order the service manual to find mine. I installed a Denali SoundBomb two piece horn with the compressor in the original location and the horn part in the radiator plenum behind the grill so the sound projects forward. It's a huge improvement from the roadrunner...

    Garmin Zumo

I've been using a old Tom Tom Go automotive GPS. Eventually I will have to replace it because they aren't making parts or even power cords for it anymore. But I hate to spend nearly a grand for a GPS for my Spyder.

    Stopping

In my car or on the Spyder, I pull over if there are cars behind me. I'm not a slow ryder/driver and if someone wants to go faster than me, far be it from me to get in the way of them finding the cops before I do. Let them get the ticket.

    cruise control

The module for the F3S can be added to the base F3. I'm planning to have it done in July or August since it will be too hot to ride then.

How hard is it to pull in clutch?

The clutch is pretty heavy, but there is a vacuum assist that can be mounted for a couple of hundred bucks. There is an old thread that lists the parts needed and the repair order number for the dealer to look up. With the assist the clutch is very light while the engine is running.

    Spyder/Motorcycle riding season

The season will be ending here in the Phoenix area in a month or so unless you enjoy riding in 110 degree heat. It seems to end in June and not start up again until late September.

******* Arc fog lights vs Showchrome vs Lamonster, thoughts ?

When you install the lights, get the Can Am heat shields, they are inexpensive, less than twenty bucks, and add a finished look to the installation by filling the gaps around the lights.

    2 up shock?

I bought one against my better judgement. My wife talked me into it rather than spending the money for a Elka. I was very surprised that it stopped the bottoming out and increased ride quality. I thought I would be wasting money by buying a new shock twice, but my wife was right.

    Sticker Shock!

You get used to the look of the Shad bags very quickly. When I installed mine two years ago, I planned to leave them off most of the time, now I think the bike looks odd without them. I go along with the Lidlox, I installed a pair and are very happy with them. To me the conical shape finishes...

    Is F3 two-up riding or Solo ?

I let my wife talk me into trying the two up shock and was very surprised that it worked for us. I fully expected to buy one, then have to spring for the aftermarket shock when it didn't work.

Stebel Nautilus horn install 2008 Spyder RS

It's probably the same place as a standard F3, right side, bottom of the bike near the forward peg. I had to buy the service manual to find it when I replaced my horn.

    Stability at Freeway Speed?

I run my 2015 F3 at traffic speeds, usually between eighty and ninety and it's rock solid with either one or two people aboard. No alignment, no away bar, the only issue I have is belt vibration at about fifty five.

    Child swipes F3

I watched the video and I couldn't see a clutch lever. I suppose if the bike was left running the kid could manage to get it into gear if she had watched her dad do it. Kids play on bikes all the time.
