• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    I FOUGHT FOR YOU..................

Service All of us who served did so for our own reasons. Many from patriotism, some from economic necessity, some from just not knowing what else to do. A few had the judge's choice of jail or service. No one owes us anything, we owe the country a debt for our freedom. Some of us were lucky...

Trailer width - is 5.5 feet wide enough?

From the experience I had with a similar trainer, that isn't wide enough if the trailer has rails that are more than a couple of inches high. With it that narrow, you can't turn the wheels at all without hitting one fender or the other. Loading the bike is a real nosebleed. I cut off the...

Well...I did it!!!! Bought a Spyder

bike habits are bad The muscle memory that you have developed riding conventional bikes cause the problem. You have power steering on the Spyder, relax your arms and just hold the handgrips tight enough to maintain contact and things will be better. Over time you will build Spyder habits if...

RIDE If the May Grey stays away, tomorrow, I plan to ride up to Solvang, it's abut a 150 mile round trip with a break in Buellton for Andersen's Pea Soup for lunch. Today was beautiful, but the wife and I had plans.

old days I didn't ride bikes back then, but I owned a Ford and carrying a can of WD40 was a necessity it wet weather since Ford couldn't seem to design a waterproof distributor cover, VW Beetles were the same way. The distributor would get wet from puddles and you'd have to pull the cap and...

New Spyder Owner in IL - couple of questions.

getting to the test When I was in the Army (way back in 1971) a buddy needed to get his Motorcycle License. We got permission to use one of the Army's trucks to transport the bike to the San Francisco DMV and when it was time to take the test, we unloaded the bike form the back of the truck...

    No 1330 Engines

Anything can break Anything mechanical can and will break. Expecting something to work perfectly every time you get on it is foolish. I'm on the far side of sixty and I can remember always carrying a toolkit with me in case of "minor" mechanical car problems. Ride to enjoy, if you break...

YOUR WINDSHIELD CHOICE ON F3? Gustaffson, Madstad, Rifle, California Scientific, F4

price To get quality, you have to pay for it. As far as I know, all the other windshields are plexi-glass which is a lot cheaper than the F4 which is Lexan. Lexan is more durable. I'd rather pay more to buy something durable and good once than pay to replace something multiple times. But...

YOUR WINDSHIELD CHOICE ON F3? Gustaffson, Madstad, Rifle, California Scientific, F4

F4 I just replaced my Blue Ridge with a 32" F4 Customs windshield. I'm 6'2" and just look over the top. I don't get ANY buffeting anymore and at high speeds on the freeway the airflow just hits the top of my helmet. The only advantage of the Blue Ridge was that it shielded my hands at high...

    Fuse Question

Fuse size NEVER go up in amperage to replace a fuse. In an emergency, use the next smallest amperage until you can replace it with a correct one. Fuses are cheap, get several as spares. I recently blew the same one while working on the bike and had to replace it. Advice for others, leave...

    Adjustable OE Back Rest kit

Spirit of adventure My spirit of adventure is just fine, my wife's on the other hand.... Between the backrest and additional lumbar support we added, the backrest is very finicky to adjust. We finally got it just the way she likes it, she's happy, and so am I. OOPS, just read the initial...

    Adjustable OE Back Rest kit

Adjustment There isn't a lot of forward and rearwards adjustment, it's mostly rake and lumbar adjustment. I can't take photos because it took weeks to get it adjusted just right after I had the backrest repadded and reskinned to match my seats.

New dealer in the area (Central Coast of California)

high price That seems like a very high price for a place like Indiana. I live in Ventura, a very pricey place to live. Real Estate is expensive, Taxes are sky high and labor costs are high and my local dealer's list hourly is $109.00 and he has discounted it 10% for the one service and the...
