• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Wearing glasses with helmet

Would agree that a modular is the way to go. One of my problems was forgetting to take my glasses off when I pull the full face off.

Setting up my new Sena 50S headsets

I'm happy you people are posting all this information. Some of the guys I ride have communication systems on their bikes and I thought it might be useful. After reading some of these posts I am convinced that it's not for me. I have trouble answering the phone so there's no way I could set any...

New and First Time Spyder Owner

Welcome. Also been riding 50+ years. Had mine a couple of weeks now, there is a learning curve if you've been riding a while.

Which section of road do you usually ride your Spyder ??

Since I've only had mine a couple of weeks still trying to stay on my side of the road.

    Love Bugs

Know what you mean. Cleaned the front of the Spyder yesterday an washed the car. So bad here can't hardly get inside without them coming with you. Planning to head up the road Saturday and I don't ever remember seeing them up there. Got them riding up to Lakeland a couple of days ago.

    Wind

Have a '15 RTL. It has been pretty windy. Been riding a long time so understand that I may be some things wrong just out of old habits. Trucks seem to move the bike around more than I would have thought. Not a fast rider so I probably get passed by traffic more than most.

    Wind

New to Spyders and have put about 300 miles on mine and I am surprised at how the wind effects it. Has been pretty windy for most of my riding and have been moved around quite a bit. It is larger than any other bikes I've had. Just wondered if it's just me.

    Spyder Sightings

Saw a Ryker Friday, 4/30, In Port Charlotte, Fl. May be the first one I've seen that's not at a dealer. Know it's not a Spyder but the same family, sort of. In an over 55 park when in Fl with 5 Spyders so see some every day through the winter. Also 5 Gold Wing trikes and a couple of Harley trikes.

    HowTo: Middle assist peg

Good job. Have an RT and use the passenger floorboard to get on, no pain just easier for an old man. Think with a F3 I would have to do the same thing.

    Best Trailer For Hauling Spyder

After buying a Spyder this week and doing a lot of measuring I realized that my utility trailer just isn't going to be wide enough. Found a Bear Track trailer yesterday in Port Charlotte. Very much like the Aluma. Pics on this thread helped.

    OK... I'm In. 2016 RTS SE6 w/2,500 miles

Also new to Spyder riding and only rode mine about 150 miles so far. Find that I'm much smoother on turns to the right than turns to the left. Will take a little time.

    New to me RT

No straight roads in the area when you get off the four lane. Have to be very careful on the side roads in Wilkes County. It's Junior Johnson country and many of the locals use most of the road so it's not unusual to meet someone on your side of the road. A good road in the area is Hwy 58 from...

    New to me RT

Also N. Wilkesboro, been there since 2005 but my wife is from there. If you're a native you're probably related somehow, 13 on each side of her family. Phone service is always iffy when you get out of town. If you get signal you have to stand very still.

    New to me RT

Pictures are beyond my computer skills, I sometimes have trouble answering the phone. Can take pics and get them in a text but that's about it. Probably not willing to take the time to learn, more than two steps involved I struggle. Maybe I can get my wife to post one.

    New to me RT

Joined the forum in '18 planning to get a Ryker. Up until a couple weeks ago was still seriously considering a Ryker. Everything changed when my wife decided that she might ride some with me or even ride by herself. Now we are the owners of a 2015 RT limited in white. Got it from Barney's in...
