• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rough Idle, Check Engine then Limp Mode after Storage

Cracked Vacum Hose If search the forum here you will find that cracked vacuum lines to the MAP sensor are a somewhat common failure. Because of the heat under the plastic, it has been suggested that when this occurs to replace the broken line(s) with high temperature resistant silicone vacuum...

    Bad Key????

Check the battery connections ???? Everyone says take it to the dealer. But...first remove and clean both positive and negative connections and the common ground. Check you service manual for locations. The rationale for checking power and ground is simple. The ignition switch contains an...

    starter flat spot?

Battery is getting tired The 14.20 V you quote is voltage due to the charging system when the engine is running. What matters in your case is the battery voltage while cranking. Per my 2013 service manual, the battery voltage should drop to no less than 10.0 V while cranking. This of...

    check eng light

Ground? Hmmmmm.....I would have recommended you pull the battery cables back off, clean both positive and negative connectors thoroughly with baking soda in a small container, wire brush them, put them back on and then apply a very light coating of grease to keep corrosion down. Then if you...

IS THE DEALER RESPONSIBLE FOR REPAIR?

Repair the radiator? Having read through all of the posts, unfortunately, I have to agree that the dealer should not be expected to fully pay for a new radiator that is well out of warranty. But, since the tech did render the radiator unserviceable, during a normal maintenance event for...

Trying to break the harley addiction

I am not here to bash HD riders I have owned two HDs. A 2004 883 which I trade for an 03 HD Ultra Classic bagger that I rode for four years and about 10,000 miles. Overall it was a decent ride with many pluses and an equal amount of minuses. Pluses - fuel injection worked flawless...

How many came off a Goldwing, BMW or Harley dresser

Previous Ride? I owned two Harley Davidsons prior to buying my 2013 Spyder RT-S. First HD was a 2004 883. The 883 was a blast to ride; light, agile, but, no room for the wife. Traded the 883 in for an 2003 HD Ultra Classic with full set of touring bags etc. After four years got REALLY...

    Stranded on hwy transmission out

Yeah its fixed! Boy what a crazy thread! As a new Spyder owner (2013 RT-S) I am really pleased that BRP sent a tech out to fix this unusual problem. As someone else previously stated in this thread, it would have been far more helpful if BRP had just come out with the "root cause" and did...
