• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Front Pulley R&R - can it be done without loosening belt tension?

Think you read my post wrong. I favor moving the wheel forward after loosing axel and adjusters. I'm against sliding the belt off under pressure mostly because on my model there is not easy access. Mostly because of the side luggage compartments limiting belt access. I was talking about the...

Front Pulley R&R - can it be done without loosening belt tension?

Not really possible with models that have side storage compartments. RT, F3L & T. I can barley see the top of the sprocket and the bottom has a guard which is only 3 bolts. In my situation the belt has not been adjusted in 20,000 miles and the axel bolt was locked solid as the wheel did not move...

Front Pulley R&R - can it be done without loosening belt tension?

It was the lesser of two evils to loosen the belt tension. With the tire up and the tensioners very loose or slack and the main shaft bolt loose, I took a heavy hammer and slammed the rubber of the rear tire forward to take up the tensioner slack.

Front Pulley R&R - can it be done without loosening belt tension?

I had to use a large 3 jaw gear puller. It was tight all the way to the end . I could not get the pully to budge at all by hand or pry bars..

    Red Dust front sprocket

Update,2: I loosened the belt but could not get the front sprocket to loosen. I had to use a large gear puller and it was tight until the very end of the travel. Upon inspection, I felt most of the red dust was from the inside of the pulley as the inside black paint had failed to protect the...

    Red Dust front sprocket

Yah, I'm cutting my losses based on 2 things. It would cost me my time to trailer my Spyder 2 ways even if it was under warranty. And the cost of $130 with tax is off set by my truck fuel savings and time. I have Anti seize which I use on similar applications. What is Moly Paste?

    Red Dust front sprocket

Update: dealer says sprockets are a wear and tear item like the belt. So my BRP extended warranty isn't going to cover this item. Seems the sprockets could be in short supply or delayed delivery from Canada. Dennis

    Red Dust front sprocket

Thanks, The pulley seems tight. I applied a little blue lock tight to the bolt for now. I'm going to call the dealer tomorrow and have them inspect it. It's a lot of red dust that was not there last spring or 10,000 miles ago. Once I found the oil filter I remembered how to access it. Every...

    Red Dust front sprocket

2016 F3L. I'm still under warranty. This should be covered if there is play in the sprocket. I'll get right to the inspection. Which side comes off for access to the oil filter? Thanks

    Red Dust front sprocket

Can someone help me find the thread or tell me what the red dust on the front sprocket issue is? Also, which Tupperware comes off to get to the oil filter? Don't have my manual. Thanks Dennis

    New design Kenda front tires

At my local shop the regular staff wouldn't change my tires. Too concerned about liability. The owner has changed mine several times. No different on the machine than any other change out. Still even though the younger staff watched they still want the boss to do it. I add 2 ounces of balance...

Have you had an ECU Flash? How long did it take? Any good?

It takes about 200 miles to collect enough sensor input to change to new fuel tables. Out of the box it is on the same fuel tables as when you last drove it. I know people say otherwise, but I have tested close to 30 versions of the flash for Monster Fuel.

Have you had an ECU Flash? How long did it take? Any good?

This is a fact!!! Wick-it opens the ECU, copies and sends the files to Monster fuel who sends back the files to wick-it to install and close up the ECU. To risky mailing to Canada. If it gets stopped in customs because back logs or worst yet, it gets lost?

    Kumho Ecsta AST

Hi Peter, P215/60, R15. 1477 Lbs @ 44 psi. I run 22 psi, 17,000 kind of hard miles. I want to be more fair on the description. 1st, this specific tire was chosen for it's great grip at controlling excessive wheel spin during the track testing. It was the only tested tire the floated the front...

    Kumho Ecsta AST

I have a Pirelli P4. A 50,000 mile tire and going bald in the center of the tire while the outside looks great. I track straight and true down the road and have been known to spin up the rear tire a bit with the stage 2 flash. But it seems like just yesterday I installed this tire. So over...

    F3 Limited

I bought the cannonball seats. The rear worked out well for my passenger as it has a nice formed pocket. However, I went back to the stock seat as it seemed more plush? Maybe I should have another go at the cannonball front seat and break it in a bit? At least you understand the complaint the...

    F3 Limited

You totally missed the point. This is a limited and all the blank spaces should have the accessories installed in them. Or, don't call it the top of the line limited. In comparing to an RT limited a perspective buyer shouldn't have to study an F3 Limited to see what's not installed. It's a price...

    Kumho Ecsta AST

Sorry, the exact opposite is also true. Under inflation causes the tire to run hot in the center. Heat gets trapped in the center of the tire and causes the rubber to wear faster. I have 22 psi in my rear tire and 35 psi is recommended. I'm just about down to the wear bars at 14,000 miles on a...
