• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Recommendations - SM or SE? Triple or V-Twin?

Riding a Spyder is not as organic and physically involved as riding a 2-wheel. I don't miss the clutching. The SE makes the ride simpler. I enjoy it. I don't know about the engines as I have a 2018. That said, often times newer is better. Enjoy!

How do you dress for a ride?

ATGATT. I had a crash on a 2-wheel and my gear saved my skin. Not a single drop of blood despite a broken collarbone and five broken ribs. I even wear an Helite airbag vest now. With jeans I wear kneepads. Otherwise one piece Aerostich. I feel naked if I don't have all body parts fully...

Rent A Trailer? Towing Can Am RT From Charlotte to Durango and Back

Obviously, you need one these: https://apogeetrailers.com/ I have a 5x10 to tow my F3 Limited. I think the 5X is too narrow for an RT. They are great and take little space and significantly more useful overall than a Stringer.

Blue Ridge Windshield on the F3 = Crazy backdraft

I installed a F4 Custom on my F3LTD and love it. Very clear see thru but I have it such that I look just over the top edge. Very little turbulence, if any. I also bought the wings. The setup is a bit warm in the summer however. Otherwise highly recommended. I checked the website they seem...

Interesting, wouldn't be surprised if BRP was working on something similar. https://www.arcimoto.com/

    Bike rack for Spyder?

I have done marathons, tris and other types of endurance stuff. You always need tons of gear, nutrition, spares and normal clothes. I suggest you skip the DIY and go directly to a hitch and trailer like one of these: http://luggandroll.com/remorques-motos.html?section=13143 I see you are in...

Estimate of time to install various parts

Anyone has an idea as to how long it would take an average DIY'er to install the following BRP OEM parts for a 2018 F3 Limited: Idler pulley Aux lights Passenger armrests Trailer hitch If instead of doing it myself, how long would it take (charge) an authorized dealer to do it, my guess...

I am looking at the armrests as well. Does this comment mean that the armrests does not come with the heated feature?

Anybody Towing a Lees-ure Lite Camper with an F3 Limted?

Anybody towing one of these http://www.leesurelite.com/ with their F3 T or Limited? If so, are you using the BRP OEM hitch kit? If so, are the wiring components supplied with the kit compatible with the 3-pin harness of the trailer? Any other comments on the trailer in general and its...

Test Ride, do you let them?

Never. I would never allow someone to test ride a bike I am trying to sell. Every bike manufacturer has test rides, including BRP. A prospective buyer should know what he/she wants first.

    My neck cracking while riding

Yesterday, I went for a two-hour ride and I experienced cracking in the neck. I've had that a few times in the past, only while riding a motorcycle. I suppose it can be due to the weight of the helmet pushing down on the vertebrae. It could be that I am too focused and not moving my head...

If Honda built a better tryke, would you buy it ??

I would consider it. I love my Spyder and I haven't had any issue with it. My main concern is the dealer network. Too small. Find it difficult to have maintenance done. Like right now, I'm having difficulty finding someone to service my brake fluid. I need to change it as it has been two...

    Back rest in an accident

I am wondering whether a back rest may be a safety hazard in an accident when the impact causes the body to snap backwards. I wear a vest with a back protector so maybe that would reduce the impact. Is there any real world facts on this issue. Any opinion? Thanks
