• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Down under Austrailian ? expensive spyders.

Here in New Zealand, we pay even more than Australia, probably 15-20% more. But at the end of it all, that's the only way to get them with a warranty etc... My theory is, if all the non USA/Canadian Spyder people imported their Spyders directly, then there would probably be no dealers or service...

    Shorter-reach bars

The riser block that is used for the F3 Drag bar would be about right, but you cant just buy the riser block you have to buy the whole set, bars included

advice needed on 2015 f3s puchase

Personally I would go new, so you can teach it properly ;) Nothing like riding out of the shop on a brand new Spyder, I have done it 5 times lolol. So if your budget allows??? go new. If you can find out why the used one is for sale with so little mileage on it, then it would probably be ok...

    spyderfest 2017

On Facebook Ricky Len Damouth confirmed to someone that it was 26th - 29th April. Which is great for me, I can start making plans to be there. It's a long way from New Zealand, but I am looking forward to going to my first Spyderfest USA

why such big difference on tire life

All of those can be factors, along with riding style, or whether they do a lot of long or short trips. I get pretty much the same from each rear tyre, about 17,000kms which is probably around 11-12,000 miles. It was similar on all 4 Spyders I have had, RS, RSS, ST and now F3. And I have only...

    Another Seat Question

I am a bigger rider, and I have the SM6 with stock seat, I find it to be very comfortable. The one time I found I had a numb bum was on the last day of a 10 day 4500km ride around the South Island and back to Auckland. The last day was a long ride from Wellington to Auckland approx 7 hours in...

Unusual Questions You've Been Asked About Your Spyder?

One of my favourites was a guy who spent about 5 minutes telling me about the company he worked for that made drive belts for Motorcycles etc... telling me how they were made...... then we talked about the belt on my Spyder and a few other things on my Spyder, and then the question was, "is it...

    F3 2017

To be fair Bob, the clutch on the SM6 is probably more than 50% tougher to use than those on the RT, As much as I love the manual it doesnt do my arthritic thumbs any favours. I have tried to get the Clutch Assist down here in NZ, but each time my dealer tries to order it, it just comes up...

    Okoroire NZ

Every year around this time a few of us get together at a small place in Central North Island called Okoroire Hotel and Hot Springs, this is just a casual gathering, sitting in a lounge by the fire and chatting and having a great time. It is the start of winter here and we woke up Sturday...

    F3 BRP rear fender

This Fender is not designed to accommodate the rear indicator stalks, My dealer here in NZ was trying to fit one to a Demo F3 SS and wondered why it wasnt fitting, once we double check the photo instructions it was obvious that there was a bit of a problem.

    Excellent Deal on Shad Luggage!!

Nothing to do with the Shad, but I am curious about the position of your Xcreen, I was wondering how tall you were and how well it works for you?

Determining correct amount of preload on a 2016 f3 limited SS

A lot depends on how you ride, my suggestion is to make adjustments after each ride until you get it how you like it. You will know when it is how you like it, and then just note your settings, so that if at any time you adjust them for 2 up riding.... you can then set it back to what you know...

Installing the RT sway bars on an F3S

I used the F3 Hardware and RT Rubber Bushes. Works fine, and a better ride now as well.

    Confused

You have very minimal movement to rotate them as they have a lug that stops them moving too far, and yes they do mark the bike. I have someone looking at making me a cradle, similar to a riser block to lift them a little

Thanks, yes it is a Blueridge Screen, with the Xcreen Touring Extention, it works well for me.

    Thanks from Downunder to Wrapmyspyder

I ordered some GT Stripes from Spyderwraps, they arrived in less than a week. I got a local guy to fit them for me. Yes I took the photos while sitting in a disabled park at work, we have 3 of them, all were empty. The Spyder did not stay there, it was the only place that had some light on a...

    F3 two up shock

To me it's not about numbers and measurements. I replaced my shock with the 2-up Shock, and after riding around 800kms on the weekend I was very happy with the way it performed. I am not a small person at all. I even took my partner for a ride on the back, and to be honest we would have been...
