• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

GPS what is the best for the can am Spyder?

Zumo and dash mount [FONT=Century Gothic]I decided not to buy the original GPS as it was hard to find and expensive. Don't know how long Garmin will support it. I use a Garmin Zumo 395 (I think). Use a "dash mount" attachment I bought from one of the forum sponsors and a Ram mount. It...

Do we like modular helmets or not???

3/4 for me I wear a HJC FG Jet. It's a 3/4 face. The reason I like it: the shield coverage gets the entire face, down to the chin. I found that modulars and full face helmets didn't seem to provide as much space to peer out of that 3/4 and 1/2 helmets do. Most 3/4 and 1/2 helmets don't have...

    Spyder RT Limited Questions

So, I was going to say it only takes a minute to get used to the Spyder. Then I realized that would be lying. I drove my new to me :spyder2: around and around my neighborhood for a week or so. Not 16 hours a day, but at least 3 or 4 hours. If your dog was lost, I covered the condo association...

No new Farkles for me for long time

Congrats, Deanna!! Where I used to work, we had issues with hiring the young folks. They didn't understand the concept of coming to work everyday, on time and ready to work. They wanted to be on their phones all day long, and wear what they wanted to wear. So sometimes we found hiring the...

    Welcome Aboard!

Hi, Smurfette - I'm no where near Massachusetts, though my brother and sister-in-law live there. Here in beayootiful Michigan, I ride with Stilletos on Steel (when I ride with a group). There are 2 S.O.S. chapters in Massachusetts, you might want to look them up. I get the same thing on my long...

    Spyder key

I used duck tape around the key, with a hole for a split round thingy. Then I have a string to attach the key to a belt loop. I don't loose the key or leave it in the ignition when stopping. Not beautiful, but works. YMMV ~Sandee~

Need some Sage advice - Considering moving from 2012 RT-S to 2016 RT Limited

Mine came with the mount for the GPS. Since it was used, I assume the previous owner removed GPS. I thought about buying the exact replacement used, but it was too costly. Got a current model and set it up with suggestions from the sages on this forum. I am happy. BTW, I loved my 2010 RTs...

    Who has a 2008 - 2010 Rav 4 or Sienna

Had 2007 that I just traded in on a Silverado. V6 engine, I towed my little camper all over with it. I think I had 130,000 miles on it. Biggest problem was my inability to park. ~Sandee~

Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance

I read it ages ago. What I remember was the authors feeling that you must work on your own bike to know it. He felt you were not experiencing the whole tide otherwise. (If I'm remembering correctly.) Is that why it ticks me off that I cant do most of the work on my Spyder? Meh. ~Sandee~

Wet front Trunk on my new 2014

My frunk leaks, none of the other luggage on the Spyder leaks. The bags have leaked on every motorcycle I ever owned. Most of them I'd put a little hole in the bottom to let the water drain. Afraid to do this to the frunk, because I'm not sure what's under it. I'm going to put a new gasket...
