• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Not sure what to do

The scoops aren't really going to do much for the heat on your right foot. They mainly take away the heat from the console storage and from around the seat where it meets the fairings. To get the foot heat solved, just buy the right side honeycomb grille for the later model RT's from your...

Looking for info on ISCI highway brackets

Do you have a pic of them close up? I'd like to see where they mount and how they are positioned in relation to the floorboards I have.

Looking for info on ISCI highway brackets

Does anyone have these ISCI highway brackets? I have the ISCI floorboards and would like to have the complementing brackets but I'm not sure how they bolt on. If anyone has any experience with these, please give whatever info you have. Thanks

Battery/charging system (Question for Spyder GODS)

If you have the lower reading on the volt meter you have in the dash, it will show a lower voltage before you start it. Mine is always around 12-12.1 v before I start but checking at the battery will show 12.7. Once running the meter will show 13.7-13.8 v. So just make sure you're checking it at...

    Ecu flash

Call Wick-It Performance in Louisiana and chat with those guys. I talked to them for about 15 min one time about the ecu flash. They're really knowledgeable and close to you also. They would be able to answer your question about the benefits of flashing your modded bike.

Stone Protection and Faded Black Plastic

This sounds like a good idea. I've used back to black and the trim renew from Lamonster. While it does work ok, it doesn't last very long before it turns back to an ashy grey. Plus when it gets wet its streaky. I may paint mine this way.

    cat delete negatives?

Not sure what year RT you're installing one on but I had a bypass on a 2010 with the Vtwin and stock muffler. It did sound better and you could smell more exhaust fumes. The thing I didn't like was it made the stock muffler sound more raspy especially right at the rpm where you shift up. It...

    ECU flash for Vtwins?

I called Wick-It Performance in Louisiana which is a partner of Monster Fuel Injection and inquired about the ecu flash. I was told they do Vtwins and the triples and both engines pretty much get the same benefits. It provides about 20% more HP and 15% torque, Increased throttle transition, more...

    Fuel supplements

If you burn through your tanks pretty regularly, no you shouldn't need to use any. But during storage or if you don't ride a lot and the fuel sits. It will benefit to use the stabilizer. I could care less whether anyone uses it or not. I'm just stating my preferences and my experience using it...

    Fuel supplements

I use stabil marine in every small engine I have.... 2 atvs, 2 mowers, generator and wood splitter. I have been using it exclusively for 5 years and have yet to have any problems, clogged jets or filters or just plain bad gas that won't burn. I never have had to drain the tanks or carbs or take...

    Fuel supplements

You think is exactly that.... a thought. Not fact. So unless you've done the tests and provide evidence that it does nothing, do what you want with your equipment. I know how mine has been using the treatment. And that's all I need for proof.

    Gas - I tried 93... going back to 87!

I have seen lifters crystalized. I know fuel doesn't touch them. I was just stating what I have observed in components that had ethanol fuel burned through them.

    Gas - I tried 93... going back to 87!

If a vehicle burns the ethanol fuel within a certain amount of time, your exactly correct that it won't turn back to sugar. But, let that fuel stay in a tank for an extended amount of time, untreated, and look at the damage it causes. My father is a mechanic, day in and day out. He has worked on...

    Gas - I tried 93... going back to 87!

I'm sure they would be supportive of using non ethanol. I've always been told to use it if that option was available. If you have ever seen the damage ethanol causes when it turns to corn syrup and gums up everything from injectors to a whole cylinder head assembly, you would cringe everytime...

    Fuel supplements

I'm not sure that I would agree with that last statement. I'm not saying you're wrong but think of this. Our fuel tank is right over the engine and subject to extremely high temps. When temps like that go up and down, moisture forms. And ethanol attracts moisture. Especially since the fuel...

    NEW WINDSHIELD

Just ordered my 7jurock windshield this morning. I got the 25" with flip, light gray tint. Can't wait for it to come in. I'm currently using a wider shield from Big Bike Parts. Hoping the flip gives us a bigger bubble of air.

    Fuel supplements

I use Stabil Marine Fuel Treatment in every tankful. Around 1/4 oz treats 5-6 gals. Main reason is to resist moisture in the fuel.

    Gas - I tried 93... going back to 87!

I have a 2010 also and have used 87, 89 and 93 before. I always use an ethanol treatment in every tank especially when storing for the winter. My best mileage was with 87 so I've always used that. Now what I have done is used 87 and 89 non ethanol fuel and that's when I had the best mileage...
