• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    2015 Honda NM4

Ooooh if only I could physically ride 2 wheels!! It also offers the DCT transmission. It'd be like living out a Batman fantasy :-) "The Honda NM4 (NM stands for "New Motorcycle") is styled along "Japanimation" lines, and though the cult anime/manga bodywork is no doubt challenging to the eye of...

2014 brp owners event last video million dollar hwy

What a beautiful stretch of road. I wish we could have been there to ride it as well although we're not nearly as good as you :-) Loved the video and the skill you have riding.

    Shock-Tek gloves!

So, I did a 600 mile drive over the 4th. 300 with my Shock-Tek gloves and 300 back home the same route with my Fly Racing stretchy gloves. For me, there was a noticeable difference in comfort after the ride with the Shock-Tek. I'm sold on making them my normal gloves. As for mentions of them...

    New Garmin 590LM

It's that darn word "premium" tacked onto it :-) It looks great. Lately I've just used my phone with Mapquest. My Galaxy S2 will send voice directions via bluetooth to my Sena headset; however, I don't have enough room for offline maps so if my cell signal goes, I'm boned. This looks nice. As...

    Riding Naked!

I was reading an article the other day about gear and road rash. Here's a quote from the article: The general rule of thumb, given the average coefficient of friction for a road surface, is that you'll lose 1mm of flesh for every 1mph you're going over 30mph when you hit it. Extrapolate that to...

GoPro HERO3 Vs Sony HDR-AS100VR POV Action Video Camera with Live View Remote

Here's a pretty good review that compares the Sony to the GoPro: http://gizmodo.com/sony-action-cam-as100v-review-gopro-finally-has-some-c-1593968678

Pretty Good Read about "The Wave"

This is true for me when I'm handling corners with no shoulder. I'm too focused not wanting to kill myself or my right. However, I'll nod if that's the case and my wife usually waves as my passenger.

    Shock-Tek gloves!

I didn't think of that! I've got mine on the firmest shock and 18pssi. I may give this a shot. Many thanks!

    Shock-Tek gloves!

I've got some nerve issues in my right hand and opted for the grip buddies but still had some substantial discomfort after rides > 30 minutes with my normal Fly Racing gloves. I found and purchases the Shock-Tek MC6020 gloves (http://www.shocktek.com/products_rec_mc6020.html) and am super happy...

Suggestions For BRP Concerning Future Models

Better turn signal switch!! Rather than this push in to cancel debacle, let's get it so all you need to do to cancel it is press it again in the direction you activated it.

    Tent Camping

The Yurts were awesome. I'd totally live in one. It was probably better than my first apartment by a long shot. We were there when it was cold enough to run the gas fireplace after getting out of the hot tub. The people were great. The gas grill each yurt was perfect for some grilling. They also...

    2012 RT New Rider

Congrats on the ride! You don't "need" any mods; however, many people seem some advantages depending upon their driving style. We haven't done anything other than some lights and are perfect happy. We don't notice too much heat in our 2012 RT-S and since we aren't aggressive in corners...

Have you looked into Steelville, MO? http://tinyurl.com/lzovmr3 It looks like there are a ton of places and floating is pretty big there. My wife and I were considering go down in the fall on our RT. You can also go to Pierre Marquette in Grafton, IL. Lots to do there and nearby.

    Roadside Assistance

What AAA offers varies by state. In MO, I'd have to get their RV plan as the Plus won't cover the Spyder. I didn't feel like paying $170+ in my state for that when Good Sam does the same for <$90/yr. So far, I haven't needed any roadside **knock on wood**.
