• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    A nice ride...

Perfect That's about the perfect ride for my enjoyment right now . 6 hours or so and home at night ( or at family or friends) . And with one or two other bikes is good . I'm working my way into longer Rydes and larger groups on occasion . I'm all over the map for work most of the time so...

    Parking lot safety

I'm picky Good thread . I am always trying to find a "safest spot" to park the Spyder. I do the same with my trucks because as mentioned above people tend to either be jealous or careless and damage and run . I park in clear areas in corners and walk further if needed all the time , but...

    Florida motorcycle insurance rates

More up here In Ontario the rates are fairly high compared to down there . I pay 1200 yearly with 1000 deductible for a fire claim on my 08 GS with a clear abstract . I talked to another gentleman in my area who has been riding motorcycles for 40 years and a Spyder since 2009 with a clear...

Things you want BRP to make standard on Spyders.

Turbo? I love what Turbo chargers do for adding big power to any engine , but they do have their own heat problems unless used with an intercoolers . I guess the F3 ( as the prototype ) would be the only possibility for production ?

    Brand new and entirely uneducated

Givi bags I have Givi colour matched bags ( black and Silver) on my 2008 GS . They are removable with a key in less than a minute BUT ... My wife likes them to be on when she rides with me because she feels safer with them there . There are many options out there

Things you want BRP to make standard on Spyders.

We were forced I remember when all of us in North America used Miles per Hour , but then our Elected Brains of Trust and enlightenment decided to make us European here in Canada again . It took me about 5 years to stop thinking in MPH and use Kilometres. :banghead: . The rest of the Metric...

Ummmm...yes That valve stem .... BRP must sell a "special " attachment to accommodate this sorcery ? Or maybe they haven't noticed it because it's so well hidden

We were lucky ..... Could have been a lot worse ....

Keep going Glad to hear also ok and she got right back on . When I took the Spyder course at Georgian College I found that even though I have been riding 2 wheeled stuff and snowmobiles my whole life , I was often distracted from paying attention to my driving trying to remember the things the...

Windshields: Sport vs. Sport Touring vs. Ultra Touring

Wish I could swap out quickly I bought the 25" ultra with the flares to partially cover handgrips . I wish I could easily pop the short sport one back on sometimes but out on the highway the short windshield is not good for me . I found I was fighting the buffeting constantly and thus it was...

    Another Heat Question For Ya!!

Gaskets I had mine replaced on my GS , it started making a little more noise than usual ( I have Cochlear implants so if I hear it....) and yes the heat became more noticeable as well . After new gaskets and a Yoshimura pipe I think my right foot is a bit relieved ( as well as my wallet)

    riding in the heat

As much gear as possible I always wear Kevlar jeans , Rocket armoured jacket , motorcycle boots and gloves . The jacket with the liner removed is not bad when you are moving. I have a Jarrow modular helmet and also a half helmet with shield ( that's my one vice when real hot ) :riding:💨
