• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Towing a trailer, and forces on the coupler..

I have towed an Aspen Sentry all over the US since 2011. First it was with a 998 and now the 1330. No issues at all. I park it in the garage with the tongue hanging at the correct height with a luggage scale attached. I load the trailer tongue with a cooler and as much drinks/ice as I will...

    Jack or lift question.

The adapter sits right on top of the actual J&S Jack. It has cutouts that account for the support rails. Nots sure how it would fit and even if it fits, the spyder may not be positioned correctly for stability on a different jack.

The spyder adapter that goes on top of the jack rails has a positioning block that fits into a recess on the spyder. This keeps the bike pretty level lifting

    Glacier National Park

I did a coast to coast several years ago taking in many national parks. I rode bear tooth pass to the top and then returned the way I came from the west so I could continue my trip on Chief Joseph. A most memorable trip. Late July was when I went. Still some sow at the tops but roads were clear.

    Newb...first group ride

I went from two wheels to three and the shortly after going with the spyder I went to a BMW rally. I was going on a ride with old friends and soon realized that I did not have the skills on the three wheeler to safely keep up. I dropped out and rode by myself. Lesson learned was to be...

Owners of both a two-wheel motorcycle and Spyder

Before the spyder I had a Honda 750 Nighthawk. Then I bought a 2001 BMW K1200. Next, came a 2003 BMW K1200LT. I always wanted my wife to ride but two wheels was something she would not do. When the Spyder came out, I remember a time when she pointed out the rear seat on a Goldwing. I test rode...

Best floor lift for the RT

I use the J&S jack and love it. J&S makes a spyder adapter for it and I love the oil drain defector designed to go inside the jack assembly when elevated that directs the draining oil off the jack itself and into a drain pan.

    RT mirror backing removal

On my first 2011 I removed mirrors and disassembled them an placed LED inside the lower lip. It was tough to get them apart without breaking tabs.
