• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Spyder Rentals

I have been in the search mode for a spyder that I could ride for an extended period of time to make sure I was making the right purchase. The spyder dealers in my area either won't allow a road test or take you on a ride along with a sales man who leads you on your test ride. The second...

More crazyness in FL...Bikes vs BMW

those riding the bikes in this video give all motrocyclists a bad name. In the beginning of the video, one passes the BMW and smacks the fender. Lane splitting and aggressive riding are dangerous and reckless. The driver should not have confronted them especially since they have gear and he...

    Awesome braking power

This is a reason I'm moving to the spyder. You can't really tell a non spyder rider how well they brake. It's really inconceivable how well they handle in these situations. Glad you and your SO are ok. Chris

What should I look for on a used spyder

I rode the bike today. It ran well, as expected and was smooth and shifted well. It has a tinted short windshield like the ones on the special series. I didn't think the had the special series in 14 but I'm probably wrong. The sway bar links were composite so I think that is original. It did...

    Hit a deer an lived!

Very good friend of mine hit a deer last year traveling about 60mph. He was virtually uninjured with only bruising to his right hand. Bike suffered about $6000 in damage. Had he been on 2 wheels the outcome may have been different. He would have been down for sure. Glad to hear you're ok. That...

    What's your opinion ?

There may be 2 reasons for this in my opinion. First, he's an honest man and wants you to know why he replaced the parts and what has been used on your machine. Second, i guess there may be a cost savings for his business. Although I think that may be minimal. Any metal parts could be resold...

What should I look for on a used spyder

This is exactly the info I was after. I wouldn't have thought about checking the vin for service history. Thanks everybody. Chris

What should I look for on a used spyder

I don't really expect a non spyder dealer to really know much about these machines. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think so. I feel as though many in the motorcycle arena don't have the training needed to really know these bikes. Chris

What should I look for on a used spyder

Good evening everyone, I have only posted a few times so far and I really appreciate everyone's feedback & helpful words. I have the opportunity to look at and ride a 2014 RTS for sale at a local Honda dealer. The bike has 4200 miles on it and has been for sale since December. They are asking a...

    Thoughts on my test ride

I finally had the opportunity to test ride a RTS special edition yesterday. I currently ride a goldwing and need to change to 3 wheels due to health reasons. I have been looking into the spyder as well as conventional trikes. I have riden a 2015 triglide and wasn't terribly impressed. I feel...

I live in Silver Lake, just between Cuyahoga Falls & Stow. I don't yet have a spyder though, hopefully going to the dealer on Engle Rd in Middleburg Hts for a test ride this afternoon. I currently ride a goldwing. What model spyder do you ride? Chris

    Had the RT a week

Sorry to hear about that situation. Here in Ohio you can go to the BMV with the paperwork from the dealer and get a temporary tag for plates until you get the title from the dealer. I know for a car this process can take from 30-45 days. I would think the process is similar for motorcycles...

    Year & mileage

Good morning everyone, I am new to this forum as I am considering the purchase of a spyder. I currently ride an 05 Goldwing however, I need to switch to 3 wheels for health reasons. While goldwings are very reliable how do the spyders compare. I know goldwing riders that have 500,000 miles on...
