• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Help! Spyder not starting

I'd be looking at a fried ignition switch. Not good, as when it popped it might have also taken out the anti-theft circuit or gone even to the ECU.

    Help! Spyder not starting

Also Caig De-Oxit. Cleans and dries with no residue, and is safe on plastics.

HELP! 2008 GS SM5 Starter not turning over despite excellent battery voltage

What I would do is ride the crap out of the trike, for an hour or more at least on the freeway, backroads, in stop and start traffic, etc. etc. Maybe this will re-educate the ECU about being a member of Spyder society? Make it relearn. It might cure the problem. It sounds like, while being...

Can Am Ryker 900 Hard Fact’s - Mike Mas

One thing about the Ryker, style-wise, if you want a red one, you get a black Ryker with a red front cover. If you want a green one, likewise. No color-keyed fenders or any other body parts. Seems kind of cheap to me. At least it looks better than the three-wheeled hot tub known as the Slingshot.

Has Anyone Switched fron an F3-T to a Ryker?

Have you tried custom floorboards for your Spyder? Moving the position and being able to shift your legs would help with the cramps. I never have that problem on my F3-S, because of the floorboards I installed on mine. I can move to many different positions. Terry

Help with my purchase please. 2009 GS SM5

I used to own a 2013 RS-SM. I liked the 998 though it was thirsty and somewhat peaky. What I didn't like was, damn was that thing uncomfortable! Floorboards, seat and handlebar modifications finally made the thing somewhat tolerable for 100 mile jaunts..about the same distance when it needed...

    Drive Belt Broke

Is it possible some joker might have been playing with a knife while you weren't looking?

High pitched whine at 45 mph

FWIW my F3-S whines at about 39-42 mph in any gear, and I've heard/read all kinds of different fixes which apparently don't really fix it. The thing I've found is if you hit the belt tension's "sweet spot" the whine will be a lot less. But between the "spot" and keeping proper belt alignment...

Lost ignition key for 2015 ty limited

Just curious. How do you turn off DESS without disabling the bike?

Eco mode - who uses it? And when?

Never. I see no need to! I do, howver , run my F3-S in "sport mode" (you're able to disable VSS and traction control).

    Ryker Ryders, where are you????

It's a nice area..Tillamook, Astoria, Lincoln City..it's all good this time of the year!

    Ryker Ryders, where are you????

Finally saw one in Elbe Wa. about a week ago about 40 miles from my home in Tacoma. It was all black. There do seem to be some Spyders in the area though. During the same ride I saw more than a few, mostly tourers.

Have you had an ECU Flash? How long did it take? Any good?

So you did a stage one flash, not the stage two? I'm thinking of having my F3 done. I don't want to go too radical because sometimes what benefits performance in certain ways detracts from it in others.

    The Krikit...what should it read?

on the F3, 300 Newtons? That's only 67 lbs. That can't be right.

    Centramatic Rear Balancer Question

Do you have to somehow disable the parking brake first to remove the rear wheel? My shop manual doesn't say. I have an F3-S that needs one of the belt adjusters which broke, so I need to remove at least the axle to replace it.

$281 for a tire change? No wonder Rob's is friendly. The name is right.."Rob's"

Help with my purchase please. 2009 GS SM5

I had a 2013 Spyder, an RS SM5, basically the same as what you're looking at. Yes, they do have noisy brakes. Not to worry, it's pretty normal. As far as the brake error, that isn't normal but if it hasn't come back, the brakes work fine and the price for the GS is good, I wouldn't worry too...

    Missing Belt Tensioner

The Spyders never came with a belt tensioner from the factory. What they often did come with, however , was various belt vibrations at certain speeds. Some units of the exact same model had it more than others. It's the result of running a very long belt with a lot of tension at a high load...
