• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Let the work begin... 2015 F3 with a new (used) engine being installed.

I loved those old "single cammer" bikes. Easy to ride, easy to work on even if you had to pull the engine, which isn't hard. I owned 5 at different times and used to have baskets of parts, all of which I sold or donated when I moved from my old house in the late 90s. Needless to say, the bikes I...

Lost my F3's RH ACCESS COVER - anyone know where to get replacement?

I would check out any junk yards or possibly eBay. As to what Can Am charges for a new one, welcome to Spyder parts!

Anyone tried Power Vision 3 on their 2020+ 1330's?

Hello, has anyone tried the Power Vision 3 from DynoJet on your Spyder? Any thoughts pro and con?

1330cc Gearbox failure - intermediate shaft broken...

Are there companies that offer extended warranties on our beloved trikes, and are they any good? A lot of extended warranties, at least on cars, are barely worth the paper the agreement is printed on.

Will the 1330 engine adjust based on gas octane changes?

What Type of Fuel? Can the F3-S run regular fuel (87 octane) without problems? With today's gas prices, I'm trying to save a few cents!

Are the New Speakers from Slingmods worth it?

Better be careful with some 2-ohm speakers, as they can cause some amps to oscillate and even overload and burn up.

1330cc Is an ECU Modification permanent? Will BUDS overwrite it next service?

Come to think of it, on my trike (F3-S) I just hold the brake, press the mode switch, and it's ready to start. No waiting for any messages.

1330cc Is an ECU Modification permanent? Will BUDS overwrite it next service?

Thanks Pete, but I was just reading what they had to say on their email reply to me, regarding how to get the flash and also the MyGenius. So I am guessing that you have to pay for the flash file plus the MyGenius. It looks like a $900 hit total.

1330cc Is an ECU Modification permanent? Will BUDS overwrite it next service?

Actually according to Monster, you can get the Stage 1 or Stage 2 flashes done, and for an extra $350 you can get the "hand held file downloader", which happens to be the MyGenius, for anther $350. Ouch! I think I'll have to put up with the "slug" that is my F3-S Daytona. Apparently Monster is...

1330cc Is an ECU Modification permanent? Will BUDS overwrite it next service?

The tool exists marketed by DimSport, but it apparently only works on 2017-20 1300 RT models. I also saw one on eBay with no connectors. I don't know if one works on an F3-S.

1330cc Is an ECU Modification permanent? Will BUDS overwrite it next service?

Where do you buy the Genius tool? The Monster site has the software for it but doesn't have the tool listed. eBay has a couple without the interface.

1330cc Is an ECU Modification permanent? Will BUDS overwrite it next service?

I notice several people have had the ECU flashed for increased performance. Is this a permanent operation? If I spend the $400 to have it done and have to connect the machine to BUDS somewhere down the road for repairs or whatever, will BUDS reset it back to stock? I'd hate to lose my...

Noticed any (other?) improvements after the Front Sprocket Recall?

Actually, the way the recall worked was, first they had you take your trike in for inspection (several months ago) to see if it needed the sprocket and if so, they'd replace it. Mine didn't, so I figured that was the end of it. Then around November I got a new recall notice saying BRP was going...

Noticed any (other?) improvements after the Front Sprocket Recall?

I know that according to shop procedure, you're supposed to have their sound meter. The belt's supposed to vibrate at a certain pitch when it's rapped with a screwdriver. Who has bucks to buy the "approved" sound meter? Do you know what the phone app was? Both my local shops could replace the...

Is this Service Contract worth it? Any advice?

I did my first one at 600 ( that's me, not the dealer) and I do them at 4k or twice a year, whichever comes first. I have multiple rides.

Will shaft drive be coming to the 1330?

I hope not. Shaft drive isn't necessary, it robs power (that's the reason race bikes don't use shaft drive) and it's much heavier and complex than the belt system being used. And why not keep the belt? There's almost no maintenance and they rarely need replacing.

Is this Service Contract worth it? Any advice?

Let's put it this way..I have never heard of a person who bought one of those extended service contracts and was happy about it. They often didn't need to use it and thus tossed money away, or when they needed it, the claim was refused .."oh that wasn't covered". A wiser way is to put a little...

Noticed any (other?) improvements after the Front Sprocket Recall?

No actually, my old sprocket had no issues according to the mechanic. I was almost not even going to have it done but since the shop could do it right away, I said "go ahead". That's kind of what I'm thinking. Does your shop use the sound meter for belt tensioning? I know my alignment was...

998cc My current ride is a 2011 RT - is the 1330 that much better?

As a former 998 rider (RS) and current F3S rider, a resoundingly yes! in just about everything. Better fuel mileage, better performance, better comfort, better handling. Whereas I tolerated the quirks on the RS, I love the F3S!
