• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Battery Replacement 2015-RT-Limited

All good points of advice. Something to add; it's a very tight fit and as stated you'll need to tip the top of the battery when taking the old one out. When putting the new battery in you'll just reverse the process. Be patient, getting the plate on top hooked properly takes some trial and error...

    can am shaking

I'd take it back to the same dealer and INSIST that they correct this. It's almost certain that the tire or rim is out of balance or not seated correctly. There shouldn't be any "shaking or vibration" at any speed. Be polite but be firm and let us know what happens.

What are you paying for insurance? Who are you insured with?

So many factors determine these rates like location, credit ratings, traffic violations, etc. Our vehicles are a 2011 and a 2017 and our annual is far less than what you are paying. But, we live in a small town with low crime and have clean driving records. We left the last company because of...

    Spyder Rentals

Not sure how you would screen your customers and most would not have experience/license for handling these machines. Then there's the maintenance. Would you do it yourself or have a dealership? The more they're driven the more maintenance will be required. I would think that insurance costs...

    93 octane non ethanol gas?

Just throwing this out there for conversation. About the time they started adding/mandating Ethanol in our gasoline, many of the engines were becoming Fuel Injected. I think that makes a difference. I've had issues with my small carbureted engines using Ethanol but have yet to have a problem...

    Something you don't see everyday....

It's been happening since the beginning of time but it's rare to actually see it when it happens. North of us here in Wisconsin is Michigan's Upper Peninsula which borders on Lake Superior, the largest fresh water lake in the world based on surface area. The following links will show what...

That's because the website doesn't recognize you on another computer. Example; you belong to this Forum, you had to register at one time to post messages, including pictures so this Forum knows it's you when you post from your computer. However, on another computer (at work, a friends, etc.}...

1330cc Anyone tried Turbocharging the ACE 1330 Triple motor?

FWIW Department; BRP came out with a Turbo 900 last year in their snowmobile line-up but it's not the same engine. Different pistons, heavier crank, etc. Apparently it takes a lot more than just slapping a turbo on a stock engine. They also have a Turbo on their watercraft which I think is in...

    Helmet Housekeeping

Just wondering what others are doing to keep their helmet's "fresh" during the summer months. On the hot days I tend to perspire and by the end of the day my helmet liner is soaked. Am I the only one or do others have the same issue? On occasion that I won't be riding for a stretch, I will hand...

    Covering your Spyder

I use both, a half cover overnight when the weather is good, and a full cover for when it rains. For storms and severe weather I move it inside the garage for protection which involves moving other vehicles to make room. I've never had a problem with rodents and varmints moving in during the...

    Memorial Day Weekend

Generally thought of as "the start of Summer" and all that goes with it. If you're traveling, be safe on the highways. There's going to be a lot of us going places. And with all things going on this holiday weekend, take 2 Minutes and 34 Seconds to watch the following message. It's the reason...

    Winter snowmobiling recap

We had a shorter season here in Wisconsin as only February was excellent with plenty of snow and cold. I didn't take that many pictures this year as I've been collecting video with my GoPro to share. Pictured is my current Winter Ride, BRP's Ski Doo Blizzard. It has the 900 ACE engine that is...

    Washing Your Spyder....

I think he's referring to the lower drive stuff like the sprockets, belt, brakes, etc. There gets to be quite a bit of grime on those components, especially brake dust.

    Anyone researching a turbo Ryker?

It's not the same engine. The turbo 900 is a much more robust version, i.e. pistons, heads, and crank. Same displacement but a different engine to accommodate the boost, heat, etc. The snowmobile application goes from 90 hp to 150 hp with the noted changes.
