• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

HAVE YOU HAD THE 2013 RT RECALL WORK DONE YET?

I know mine is not part of the problem year but I had it done on my 2010 RTS and there is a significant reduction in heat. Same observations, panels cool to the touch, gas cap cool and no more heat coming from in front of the seat either. One down fall of the air scoop installation is that my...

    BRP's Trained Dealership Technicians

i completely agree there are not enough Spyder certified techs but do you really think this is BRP's business plan Jack? Low customer satisfaction ratings mean less repeat sales, reduced parts sales and that's how BRP makes money, selling more units and parts. Maybe we could get one of our...

    BRP's Trained Dealership Technicians

A very valid point. From my experience and what others have posted BRP's parts network varies greatly. Don't think I've ever waited more that 48 hours for a part yet I've had very minimal problems and they were pretty common to a 2010 RT. Others have had to wait unreasonable amounts of time to...

    BRP's Trained Dealership Technicians

I think this is a good possibility and would be a great investment long term for BRP and the the dealer body. No they don't turn out a tech that can do it all but it could develop a pool of potential superstar in the rough. I respectfully disagree if your stating that 80% of Spyder owners have...

    BRP's Trained Dealership Technicians

I had posted this on Brogers thread who has been plagued with slow service from his servicing dealership and probably BRP. The discussion had numerous comments about the reasons for this from it being the dealership fault to BRP's fault. I thought I would ask your opinions on the subject...

2013 RT Scoops on 2014 RT

I can not tell you if they will work on your 2014 but for clarification I had them installed this week on my 2010 RTS at Gargano GSS Powersports in East Haven, CT at no cost. The owner Bob Gargano said that he was able to get reimbursed for the work by submitting it as a good will claim. I will...

Heat recall on other model RT's?

I have a 2010 RTS with about 25K on it. I do have a Best warranty that expires November of this year. After reading this post early this morning I contacted my dealer by email. He responded at 9:30am via email stating he ordered parts for me and they could be installed next Wednesday at no cost...

    2014 RT Ltd.... Cooked crotch

Mike after that post I'm really disappointed in you. Maybe you could ask some questions to clarify how much heat he is feeling? Maybe offer up a suggestion that might help him with his concern ? Maybe the chemotherapy he's having is effecting him ? Jmho :lecturef_smilie::lecturef_smilie:

My brand new F3 has a bloody nose

Is there any concern with tying a Spyder down with the ratchet straps hooked to the outer most point of the lower control arms? I always feel like I'm messing with the perfect lazer alignment I got..

    Extended Warranties

i don't believe this is true. All extended service contracts require preautherization which means the repair shop must call the warranty company prior to beginning repairs. After a diagnosis has been completed the repair facility calls the warranty company to determine if the failed part is a...

Pros and Cons of trailering Spyders

The wife's back doesn't allow for extended riding so we are thinking of buying a trailer to tow our RTS. Obviously an enclosed trailer would be ideal but some of the factors I should consider are costs, having a vehicle capable of towing, fuel costs, having a clean bike upon arrival and storage...

How did you mount GPS on a 2010 RT?

Im very happy with it located on the upper dash. There is very minimal vibration and the location is ideal. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?34118-RT-Garmin-Dash-Install i would also suggest considering JT's dash mount bracket. It wasn't available when I did mine but it looks...

I live in Connecticut and have always thought of moving south at some point. Florida is just to darn hot for me so our family has always talked about the Carolina's.
