• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How many of Spyder Riders still ride motorcycles?

I have a 2011 RT SM 5 with 34,000 miles and a 2012 Vulcan 900 with 17,500 miles. Since I got the Vulcan I don't seem to ride the RT near as much but still like it. It does take me a couple of hundred miles to get comfortable on the RT.

    Ultimate seat

I have had one on my 2011 for 2 years and have never had a heat issue. I do have Air Wings and the adjustable side deflectors so maybe that has some effect. Love my Ultimate seat so much I put one on my Vulcan 900 as well.

    Flag holder for RT

No, it is to be "on it's own right" - confusing but it is always to the riders right.

    Flag holder for RT

This is incorrect! Per the US flag code, no flag, (with the exception of the religious flag flown on ships at sea during services) is to be flown above the US flag. When displayed together, each flag is flown at the same height on it's own staff. US flag is on the right, as you look at the...

Ultimate seat vs factory Comfort seat vs stock seat - help

I had a comfort seat on my 2011 RT and added a Utopia backrest. It was pretty comfortable but there was no room for a passenger so I found the Ultimate Tall Boy, with the backrest and have no regrets at all - over 20K miles on it. It is so good that I put one on my Vulcan 900. \ Corbin makes...

    Landscape Trailer

I use 2 2x6 boards, 3' long as mini ramps. I put the metal ends on them that you can get at Lowes, etc. I stuck a bold through about 3/4 of the length to drop down through the mesh of the ramp. It works great and stays still when I drive on it. When done, I toss them in the back of the truck...

Flags for the back of the Spyder

My setup ... Rivco trunk mount - does not hide any lights. I use 10.5 x 15 flags ... Remember the US flag is mounted on the right as you view the rear of the bike. For escorts, I have this setup on my hitch. Using a 3 x 5 flag on a 5' pole works well, even at highway speeds. I have used...

    Two Brothers pipe question.

I installed a 2 Brothers on my 2011 RT at the 600 mi. service and everything has been great with 34K on the clock now. The ECU kept up fine - I've ridden from sea level to over 12,000 feet in Colorado with no issues. Gas mileage has been constant 32 - 34 mpg. I have the stock air filter, too.
