• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looking for riding through curves tips

Ride your ride! You will get comfortable as you get used to handling but take your time and enjoy it. Look through the corner, as always and pick a line that stays clear of the center and the edge.

Thought of trying a different GPS than Zumo 660

I use a Nuvi 1490, mounted using Ram parts mounted where the temp gauge was and using the gauge light power. Mounting bracket is from Ram and I got the cord from amazon. Works great with no vibration problems. I have a sun shield which helps with the rain but I do store it away in a heavy...

    OMG!!! Front Tires!!!

I just did mine at 28.5K and might have gotten more if I had not rotated them at 20K. Never could get rid of the bounce. I run them at 20 lbs and have Elkas and BajaRon's sway bar. I think the stiffer suspension helps with mileage ....

    Appropriate RPM's to Downshift?

I downshift for most all my braking and usually it's around 4K but don't normally go to first until stopped or almost stopped. If turning, I get the gear I want before entering the corner. To be fully honest, I would say it is really a "seat of the pants" thing. I am sure it helps ... at 28K...

    shock icon on cluster

That displays when you are in reverse or set the brake - if you do not have the automatic adjustment for your air shock. If you do, it shows the amount of the inflation. It has no meaning unless you have the air pump installed.

Question -- Safely Drilling Mirror Housing

I would put the LED strip more towards the outer edge of the mirror. You can drill into the black area but be sure to only go through the first part, only. You can then use a small wire to fish the the wires our the same hole that the turn signal wires come out of. Splice into the turn signal...

Open or Enclosed Trailer to Haul Motorcycles – Thoughts?

I have both ... I use the 7 x 14 enclosed for trips because of the ease of having everything there and I can also haul my wife's Vulcan 1500. For short trips to the dealer or the like I use my 7 x 10 utility trailer. I would not use anything smaller unless you get a custom made set up like the...

Need advice choosing a real time GPS tracker.

As for tracking, the phone idea is good. I know there are some devices out there that allow you to be tracked and I have seen a number of references on here about them but I can't find the links right now. I use a Drift HD 170 camera which has a push button remote. It works great and is easy...
