• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Out on a ride and lost power between engine and the belt

Maybe instead of a spacely sprocket I should get me a cogswell cog ;)

Out on a ride and lost power between engine and the belt

Does this video match the 2015 to 2019 sprocket recall? I was pulling onto the highway when the spider lost power and made an ugly sound. I makes noise every time I tried to throttle up in gear. There was just a tiny bit of drive power if I throttled up very slowly, but then it would start...

Out on a ride and lost power between engine and the belt

We're riding through Ouray Colorado when the spider suddenly lost drive power and started making a rapid thumping noise. We got it trailored back to our hotel. Mechanic thinks it could be the recall. https://youtu.be/hMD8BS6gORM

Here's how to Release a jammed rear trunk latch!

This thread came in very handy. I had a broken trunk repaired a few weeks ago, just before a long ride. Of course, the trunk quit working in the middle of the ride, and I wound up stuffing all my clothes into a trash bag tied to the back seat for the ride home. I was just about ready to waste...

Southern Utah in early November - any feedback on weather for riding?

As others have said, the Rockies can have some nasty weather any time in the fall. But MOST of the time, Southern Utah in October/November is 50s and 60s for highs. October and November is my favorite time to go to Moab. Even September can be darn hot in Southern Utah.

Setting up my new Sena 50S headsets

I wanted to give the bike audio system a fair try, but I have wound up using option #1. Very disappointed in BRP connect.

Setting up my new Sena 50S headsets

5 month update. I have finally given up on using the Can-Am BRP audio system entirely. There were just too many problems (I'll details those later). Fixing audio problems requires the following steps: 1. Stop the bike 2. Turn off the bike 3. Wait 30 seconds for the bike to REALLY turn off 4...

    Hydration on long rides

I purchased a 64 oz hydration bag with an insulated pouch. I use a bungee to strap the whole setup to my backrest with the drinking hose coming out the top and hanging down the right side. I start the day by packing the bag full of ice and water. When I'm thirsty I hit the cruise control and...

Setting up my new Sena 50S headsets

I just finished my first 2-up, multi day ride and wanted to save my impressions. I wound up pairing both headsets to the bike because my wife is very non-technical. She struggles trying to keep the phone paired, volumes, next song, etc, etc. With her paired to the bike, I take care of all of...

Anyone ever add a storage pouch to a BRP backrest?

My previous rides always had Utopia backrests and they come with a storage pouch. My riders have always appreciated that pouch. I didn't realize the BRP didn't have one or I might have gone a different route, but here I am. Has anyone added a storage pouch to the BRP? Several searches didn't...

Setting up my new Sena 50S headsets

Using the GPS on my cell phone turns out to be problematic when I'm listening to music. Music comes across bluetooth the stereo audio protocol. But GPS instructions (from Google Maps) comes over the Headset protocol. It takes nearly a second for the Spyder and Sena to switch from audio to...

    Floating Pegs

I just installed a pair of these on my 2019 RTL. They were super easy to install and I like them. I get 4 additional riding positions, all the way from heel on the boards and a toe on these to fully stretched out with just my heels on the ends of these. Obviously I haven't done a...

Setting up my new Sena 50S headsets

Yes, the 50S also supports bluetooth pairing to 4 other headsets with individual private or group conversation. But the mesh has no such feature. When I ride with a group it's usually 8 or more bikes, most of which are 2 up. We are trying to switch from CB radios to mesh. Time will tell.

Setting up my new Sena 50S headsets

On to another feature of the 50S, intercom. I am used to the goldwing and a CB. I was in constant intercom with my passenger, and our conversations were private. If anyone spoke on the CB, I could hear them and had a push to talk button when I wanted the whole group to hear me. I could...

Setting up my new Sena 50S headsets

The forums are very confusing on that issue. I've read people say that, then I read a post where someone claims to have a 2019 RT LT with the audio connectors. I figure I'll open the panels and look for myself. I have to open some for the mods I'm adding anyway...

Setting up my new Sena 50S headsets

I can't use bluetooth to connect my GPS. When the GPS is connected (in the GPS spot) I can't hear music from my phone. I hear just a bit of background static from a low quality bluetooth connection which I think means that my GPS is constantly transmitting audio, even though that audio is...
