• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The 3 wheeled cycle market just got more interesting

Reverse Trikes I think it would both interesting, and fun, to see Honda come out with a reverse trike to equal the Gold Wing. Some riders will always prefer the two wheel motorcycle and its cornering abilities, and some would probably like to see a "from the ground up" GW reverse trike.

    Netflix Movies

One of the better movies with the war theme I've seen was actually from Amazon. Called, We Were Soldiers with Mel Gibson, and Sam Elliott who portrayed then LtCol Moore and SgtMaj Plunkett, both real life Soldiers. The story was the battle at LaDrang Valley during the mid 60's. I never had the...

Are you retired from or currently working at your "dream" job?

20 Years Twenty years with the Navy from 3/6/1976 to 30/6/1996. And really, not a single regret. Allowed me to retire at 46. Saw more of the world than I'd ever have seen working for Oldsmobile or Fisher Body in Lansing. Even became a Jerusalem Pilgrim on visiting the Holy Lands. Crossed the...

Freedom of Speech Attributed to Voltaire is the comment, "I may not agree with a word that you say, but will defend to the death, you're right to say it". There are categories within the SpyderLovers forum for almost every topic relating to the type of Spyder a person may have, and it would...

    Largest propeller airplane

WW2 Aircraft The Spitfire, used by the RAF during WW2, primarily during the Battle of Britain, were made of wood. Training planes at Tuskegee Army Airfield, were made of wood. And I believe Stearman biplanes were as well.

Had an Accident; Advice on New Spyder

Spyder Accident I'm sure "Q" could provide James Bond with a machine gun outfitted Spyder. The only location a barrel or two could be mounted would be using the unused faux light slots. Provided you were riding or buying an RT. My stepson was on his Yamaha 800 on his way to work from Hemet...

    Parking brake won't release

Parking Brake Issue/Fault On my own 2012 Spyder RT-SE5, a message popped up on the display simply reading, Parking Brake Fault. There was a drag on the rear wheel, because the brake hadn't released the wheel. In my case, I was at a loss, but turned off the ignition, then turned it back on. The...

What about what you don't you like about the Spyder?

Likes and Dislikes I have the 2012 Can Am Spyder RT-SE5: I dislike the poor fuel economy I'd have liked to see a couple USB connections made available to the passenger A beverage holder for the passenger (w/o having to obtain armrests) A fuse puller should be standard in the tool kit A tire...

AAA Towing Coverage vs BRP's Under Warranty?

Geico The 30 mile towing service IS standard with Geico, and there would be a charge of so many cents per mile following that. However, you can ask to speak with the call taker's manager for the authorization for additional miles.

Back in the shop for the second time this year!

Driveshaft? Pardon my curiosity, but what driveshaft? I am familiar with such driveshafts as can be found on the Gold Wing and BMW. But was not aware of a similar driveshaft on a Spyder. I know the RT-SE5 has an Aramid belt.

    Had my first hater today

Responses I always respond with a reciprocal wave when someone gives me the wave. Despite the number of bikes on the road, it's still a small community, and the gesture, the comradery, is something that most motorists will never comprehend. It seems to matter little whether one is on two...

    Tent site or RV site

rv or tent sites I know now that the Bunkhouse doesn't have potable water and sewer hookups. Some motorcycle tent trailers have openings where an a/c can be mounted. But I'd be curious to know whether any motorcycle tent trailer has potable water, electrical, and sewer connections.

Advice and suggestions for curves and Twisties?

Twists and Curves You're living so close, I have to wonder if you've heard of a road known as The Tail of the Dragon in North Carolina? 300 curves and twists in 11 or 12 miles I believe.
