• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyderfest and accessory installation, schedule, etc.

Yes there will be a rally schedule available. You'll get a copy when you check in. It will probably be on the web-site in advance. Just come on and plan to have lots of fun with a few hundred of your closest friends! Most, if not all, the vendors will install what they sell. They try to...

    End of an era......

Wow! I had no idea operating a Spyder in the UK was so expensive. :yikes: I wonder why the Spyder insurance is so much more than a Harley. Maybe because of the comparative value? But that Puegot is really something. I just hope you never have to replace that back window! And extra cash...

Was out getting the shots in my back today, saw this...

I kinda like the steer horns! That could be classified as a deadly weapon. It's parked in front of a tapas and wine place. I hope the guy doesn't imbibe too much.

Hey Patti, are you swimming yet?

No flooding in my area - yet. The Missouri basin in the northern plaines (Nebraska and northward) is, though. I think I saw some areas in NE Kansas are getting some flooding from the run-off from up stream. We're about 150 miles upstream of the Missouri River here. My understanding is that...

    PM Notification

Didn't work. Seems like if the forum can know which posts I haven't seen and sort them in the "new posts" list, it should be able to know when I've looked at a message and turn off the notification.

    PM Notification

Hey, Admin! I have a flashing Notification indicator that won't go away. I've read all the new mail. But it keeps showing that I have 1 unread. The indicator is useless if it won't clear when I'm done. And I'm getting tired of having to go to messages just to find there's nothing new there.

    WTF a bad accident

If not attempted murder, at least assault with a deadly weapon. Thanks for posting this Dean. I'll pray for Cami and her husband.

No new Farkles for me for long time

12 hour shifts would kill me. I agree they're best for younger folks. Thanks for the updates, D.

Greetings - new old guy here

:welcome: Others have covered the 990 vs 1330 question. I, too, recommend the newer models. But if you are buying to 'try it out' the 990 would be fine. Many of us here rode those for years before they upgraded the models and lots of folks still love theirs. Limited? I'm not sure what...

    Newbie Confused About Luggage

When I'm on a long trip and use the trailer, I keep a small duffle for single-night stays on the road. I use small baggies with a pair of undies, socks and meds for the night & morning. I put one of those, my computer, toiletries and empty bag for laundry into the duffle. In the morning I...

    Canada Laws

I think it depends on where you cross the border. I've had that experience in some crossings, particularly on the Canadian side. When I've crossed into the USA at smaller points, I've been treated really well. Once I couldn't find my passport. The officer and I tore up my luggage and almost...

    Canada Laws

:agree: If you're going hunting and want to bring long guns, I think there's a way to get permission. But DO NOT even think of bringing a handgun.

    Draw The Curtain...

I don't post here so much any more, Bob, but I never thought SL would be without your huge presence. On the other hand, think how much more work you'll get done for not being on here all the time. :ohyea: PS: I think you should at least shoot for 100,000 posts before you call it a day.
