• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Trailer Security

Do the best you can but in the end make sure it's covered by your insurance for both when it's hooked to the spyder and when it's in the hotel parking lot. People lift big bikes into back of trucks, most trailers are quite light. harry

    Competition for the Spyder???

Nice concept and I think its cool, I love gadgets, the only issue I have is the 10 mile limit on a charge. My local wholefoods is 6 miles away, I would never make it back. If they ever get it to 100 miles I think I would get one for fun. If you live in the city and you work within that 10...

Battery Tender Connector as Standard Equipment?

Some dealers are known to put on the battery tender connections. When I picked my 2012 the dealer had put the lead on and even threw in the battery tender. I've bought from a couple of dealers that I've done that, not all do but it's a nice value added service that others could learn from. harry

New to Us - 2011 RT - GARMIN GPS Question

Has stated above, if the Zumo is wired with the BRP cable it will play mp3 files through the bikes audio system. However with one annoying caveat, the GPS is designed to interrupt the other item playing for voice directions, be it radio, iPod or the aux. This interruption is an audio signal...

AM I WASTING A LARGE SUM OF CASH???

Came from a Goldwing to a 2012 RT Limited, love it, wife loves it. Basically trouble free, wouldn't hesitate to ride cross country, even driven international with her, over to Canada. The issue I have with my spyder is work, seems to get in the way all the time. Now BRP should be sending me a...

    Spyder license plate collector swap

I've had the same plate for years, just keep swapping it to the new bikes. Also in MA the only way to cancel your insurance ( apart from not paying of course) is to hand the plate back. Registration is proof of insurance. If you're really interested in old plates I can go around the...

they just delivered my 2013 RT SM5

I know you are "very" mechanically minded/talented but you could have Bobskidoo give it a once over for peace of mind. I've found them very accommodating, extremely precise and thorough and very fair priced. just a thought. harry

    RT-622 ?

Obviously depending on riding style, trailer load or two up etc, I average around 28-29, lowest I've had is 25, highest 33. However the convenience of the trailer out weighs the small drop in fuel economy. I tend to take it most places especially if the wife is on board. Don't take it to Laconia...

    RT-622 ?

I have the 2012 RT and 2010 RT622 Your welcome to come over and look at the set up. I wired the separate turn signals into the brake turn lights, just doubles up on the lights. I also picked up a roll of white led's on eBay and ran all around the inner lip of the trailer, that way at night you...

    Cellphone Interface Kit

I have the cell phone kit on my RT 2012, it requires the communication harness but not there helmet. We have our own helmets I do have the BRP head set wired into them though, nothing stopping you using another brand as long as it fits the jack. Harry

    Service for R622 trailer

I just had my 2012 RT in for a full service, oil change, radiator fluid, brake pad check and what ever else they do. Plus I had my 622 trailer bearings packed. The total inc labor, parts and tax was 298$ for everything. So 200-300$ for just your trailer seems very high to me. I would call...

Last BRP Spyder Dealer Placed on Probation

March 2024, in other motoring news, Honda as closed it's last service dealership, stating "they're no longer required and obsolete". Honda flagship oil less Goldwing only requires minor user service every 500,000 miles. The last known Goldwing to breakdown was some 6 years ago. However like...
