• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I want one! As to the Atom - the Atom has 4 wheels. Back to the vehicle in question: Did you notice how it doesn't lift the inside wheel in hard cornering? I want one!

    EPA & Ethonal!

Why don't you admit it and say you are a fan of ethanol. I know what you have said but your words betray you. Don't blame engine manufacturers because there would be no problems with small engines if all gasoline was ethanol free.

    EPA & Ethonal!

Ethanol production reduces the amount of corn that can be used for livestock feed and more importantly food for third world countries. ALL ethanol production should be stopped as soon as possible. It is not needed, it is not any cleaner and it takes more of it to produce the same amount of...

    Jacket Armor Question

Forgive me for saying this but I do so not to insult but to educate. If you remove your pads you are a fool. You should dress for the slide and not for the ride. Just because you are less likely to hit the asphalt due to being on 3 wheels doesn't mean it will not happen or that it hasn't...

    they couldn't keep up

Sorry to burst your bubble but a Spyder does not stand a chance against a Yamaha FJR 1300 ridden by an experienced rider.

The 10 Most Reliable Motorcycle Companies

Yamaha is number one. No doubt about it from me. I have owned 3 Yamaha's including the one I currently ride and they have been 100% reliable. When I go on long rides I do not worry about anything whatsoever other than the blind clueless cagers.

The 10 Most Reliable Motorcycle Companies

Oh really? I see problems reported here on new Spyders as well. The horror stories are out there and they are they same stories for the most part. Spyders are complex, I understand that, but if BRP would immediately without question take care of each and every complaint and make sure the...

Problems with 2014 RT Limited Spyder

How Can BRP Defend This? BRP has had 10 years to fix this. They have made some improvements but nowhere near enough. It is not enough that some of you have ridden for tens of thousands of miles with nary a problem. That there are still problems out there like this one makes the entire line...

    Thinking about a two wheeler

ABS on 2 wheels means you have more leeway when braking hard. As you state one can slam on the brakes with a Spyder and Nanny does the rest.

    Thinking about a two wheeler

Too big, too heavy and too powerful for a first 2 wheeler.

    Thinking about a two wheeler

Again I butt in but I'm being serious. The machines you mention are way too big for a beginner. Too many people make the mistake of going big (either size/weight or power) for a first bike. Many regret it. Go small, go inexpensive, and learn - then move on to your dream bike. David

    Thinking about a two wheeler

The R3 would be an excellent choice. It doesn't have ABS but other than that it is a winner. You will not notice any lack of power. The R3 is light and handles great. It is considered a great beginner bike and not only that but it sets you up to progress to other more powerful...

    Thinking about a two wheeler

Don't mean to sound "mean" but that is a horrible choice. We are talking about a person's first 2 wheeler. It needs to be something relatively light and above all else it should have the feet positioned UNDER the rider - not out in front. Cruiser style is great for comfort but poor for control.

    Thinking about a two wheeler

First of all you need to stay away from the R6 or anything similar. You will end up seriously injured, dead or so frightened that you will sell it as quick as possible. Now as to what type of machine to get I would suggest something in the 250cc to 500cc range. There are a lot choices out...

    Well, I'm Selling My Spyder

Not necessarily. The Yamaha FJ-09 forum is actually kind of boring as there is nothing to complain about. There is the usual banter about what is the best windshield or comfort seat or about what tire is recommended, but that is about all. I can handle boring because it means reliable. When...

    Respect ??

That is my experience entirely. People on sportbikes always do the wave. People on cruisers, particularly Harley's, are about 50/50 when it comes to the wave. BTW I ride a sportbike that is more a sport touring (Yamaha FJ-09). Along those lines when police are running a speed trap I always...
