• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Ryker dirt road and gravel

In addition, a single wide tire (low PSI at contact patch) pushing 2 tires and a lot of front weight is not going far in limited traction scenarios - sand, gravel, mud, etc. Have to add front wheel drive to make off roading and rally possible. Make it 3 wheel drive and it might work. But still...

    Ryker vs F3 Vital Specs!

I suspect that there won't be deals for awhile and that the value of used Spyders, especially the F3/F3S is going down fast. Regards, Don

how long will the drive belt last?

The cam belts on my Audi & VW have mileage and time change intervals. Off the top of my head they are 100k or 7 years - whichever comes first. But then if one of them goes, you loose an engine. Regards, Don

    BRP shop manual

I purchased same a couple of months ago for my 2017 F3T that I bought new in June. Says it was update 10/2017. It has 1328 pages. So much better than a printed manual. You can word search for quickly locating the info you want and you can zoom in on graphics and diagrams to better see the...

    Under $10,000 Spyder

You are comparing apple to oranges here. The amount of drag and the contact patch is so much greater on the snowmobile. My first car had 36hp (1956 VW Bug) and it would do 70+mph. My then stock 90hp, 4kLB, 2003 VW Golf TDI would easily do 125mph. Properly geared and mapped, 60-90hp could do...

BajaRon sway bar install details on a '16 F3-T

I don't know when you purchased your ASB for your 2016 F3, but I got mine about 6 weeks ago for my 2017 F3. Sounds like Ron got way behind on updating the instructions. Regards, Don

BajaRon sway bar install details on a '16 F3-T

Hello... I have to agree with the original poster. I installed the Ron's ASB on my 2017 F3T. There were several steps needed to do the job that were not addressed in the instructions that I received with the ASB. I didn't take the time to document them, but they included having to remove the...

    Belt Tension

John... I purchased from Best Shop Manuals a "2017 Spyder F3 Series Repair & Maintenance Collection-HDS-V2.pdf" manual the other day. It states 775N +/- 150N, measured off the ground. Regards, Don

    Rear Air Bag Question

I have a 2017 F3T. While the side cover is off so that I can adjust the drive belt and install the DocH damper, I noticed coarse and fine sand under the air bag. I have read that this can cause the bottom of the air bag to wear and eventually fail. I also know that there is an after market boot...

    Lift / Hauling Question

Dave... Take your trike and the car. Less weight added to the back of the MH. They make with platform up to 10'long. You can also use a 6' platform and run Spyder side to side and if length of Spyder is an issue, just angle it up a little to get to the 102" http://tandem-tow.com/index.html...

    F3T or F3L

Floridian… For me, the T was a no brainer. I prefer a rack over a trunk. A lot more options for carrying things. I prefer heated gloves over heated grips. I prefer aftermarket running boards over the L model ones. I REALLY prefer the T front wheels over the L ones. Still a tossup on the shock...

Belt Tension, Vibration, & Front Sprocket Failure

Has anyone researched a relationship with the tension of the belt and failure of the front sprocket? Possibly even whether there is a vibration damper installed. Seems to me that over tension and excessive vibration of the belt may be attributing factors or even the actual cause of front...

    New purchase input

I have to strongly agree. I REALLY wanted an RT until I sat on one and then later tried to ride one. I like the look a lot more than the F3. However, the F3T that I bought is so much more comfortable for me. With over 1k miles ridden in the first 2 weeks, comfort is important to me. So far the...

Laser Alignment in WA, ID, OR, MT.

Ann... Thank you for your reply. I was in contact with Joe. However, I could not make it to Pateros as I already had plans (only have had Spyder for just over 2 weeks). I saw something that next year this GTG is in Winthrop? Will probably see you there. My brother lives outside of Winthrop...

Laser Alignment in WA, ID, OR, MT.

Putting the BR-ASB on this week and looking for a laser alignment. I live north of Spokane, WA. However, I plan to do a bit of riding around the NW this summer. So I can expand my search. Regards, Don

    F3T Passenger backrest

Larry... Don't know about reasonably priced. However, the factory removable passenger back rest fits my 2017 F3T well and looks good - PN: 219400703. I like the idea of being able to quickly take it off. Especially after I get the luggage rack installed. I don't think the factory adjustable one...

    CAN-AM SPYDER RIDER EDUCATION PROGRAM

I had a similar experience at the class I took last month in Richland, Washington. The instructor was not a 3 wheel owner, but he was knowledgeable and experience with 3 wheelers. We had a class of 6 and 2 were women. One of the women already has her own Spyder and was driving on a learner’s...

The Journey Ends – The Adventure Begins

John... Variety (and riding) is the spice of life! My problem is that my knees can’t take the bending for very long. They handle stretching out just fine. I have the same problem on the F3 with the ridge at the knee with the stock #3 UFit position for the foot pegs. I opted for position #4...
