• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Licensed!

In addition to the regular motor vehicle license, Washington State requires separate endorsements for 2 wheel and 3 wheel, and helmets for both. Regards, Don PBD

    Licensed!

Two weeks after completing the training last May, I had my new 2017 F3T. One of the best purchases I have ever made! Regards, Don

Butt Burner Gold 1500 miles in 24 hours

A small utility trailer with a 55gal drum of gas plumed into the Spyder, and depends underwear. Can do the trip non-stop. Did a coast to coast in a car 40yrs ago with drums in a utility trailer. Had a switch in the car to fill tank from drums using an electric fuel pump while cruising. Did a lot...

    What to buy???? F3T or F3Limited ????????

With the BRP passenger back rest removed. You can mount the top case as far back as needed to passenger more room. Regards, Don

    What to buy???? F3T or F3Limited ????????

Life is full of compromises. I bought the same top case for my daughter, but borrowed for my F3T. I like being able to quickly detach for suit case into hotel or to just remove when I want the sportier look. I just don’t like the base mount look. Better than the F3L top case to have suit...

    SM6 vs SE6

I took the Can-Am rider course to get my required endorsement and to test ride the different models of Spyders. Decided I liked the F3T over all others, but had a hard time mounting it because of both knees injured. I found these before I even bought the Spyder. They make it sooo much easier to...

I was thinking to get a F3-T, not anymore!

I'm a CAD 3D modeler. I do all my own work on motorcycles, cars, boats, trailer, etc. I have been since old enough to help my dad wrench and for me to work on my motorcycle I got when I was 7yo. Its a hobby, its part of the joy of riding or driving. Knowing that you built the kick butt engine...

Who makes a wide rear sprocket?

Yes, you will need a new belt. The belt you have now gets tight on the smaller sprocket, won't even come close to fitting the larger sprocket. 2017 F3T - w/large sprocket. Regards, Don

Who Rides a Spyder to Work?

I walk to work - from bedroom to office down the stairs. I do however, ride for work. I have found that riding the Spyder to a construction site, or customer's office for an occasional meeting really makes my day. I used to ride most everyday to work, rain or shine, year round, years ago when I...

    What to buy???? F3T or F3Limited ????????

The sprocket and belt are several hundreds of dollars. As for the higher rpm@speed. That was an initial concern of mine when I was doing pre-purchase research. From what I have read here and on FB, and later my experience, 70mph might actually get better mpg with the larger sprocket. With 4k rpm...

What is your definition of "warm enough to ride"?

I am guessing that that is just the record for the date. Not the season. My issue is more with heat than with cold. When I lived in Seattle, I road year round. If I can snowmobile here, then I can ride motorcycles. So -10 to -30F is not out of the question. I used to have a motocross track on...

    Stainless Steel Paint

Jim... It looks good and worked to address your issue. However, it is not the polished, shiny, brushed metal look of stainless steel - not the look of the microwave above your oven. Regards, Don

    What to buy???? F3T or F3Limited ????????

I just like the look of the F3T without the top case better. However, I took a trip last fall and bought a rack and borrowed my daughter’s top case. I needed a secure place to store my 17” laptop. This case has a lockable quick release that with a push of a button, it comes off the rack and...

    Priced Out...

Very good advice. Dealers often make a large portion of their profit from financing. This is exactly what I did last spring when I bought my F3T. A total of (5) dealerships in WA, ID, & OR. had the F3T that I wanted. I had to go 400mi to pick it up, but I saved thousands. I have also done this...

    Motorhome-Truck-Spyder

Bob... Brings to mind that my boss has a heli pad in his yard, and has one designed/engineered to go on the roof of the new house he is building. As for me, I am considering replacing my fixed wing ultr-light with a foldable delta wing model so I can take it along. After over 6 of the last 8...

    Classic average cars

Is that a Maverick? Brought back memories of my grandparent's. They pulled into their driveway just after picking up their new 4dr 1973 Maverick. I was mowing their lawn. Just as they stopped, the mower thru up a rock and put a large ding in the driver's door. They took it back and got another...

    Classic average cars

Back in the early 80s I had a 1974 2D Nova. Built 400SB, built T400 trans, don't recall trim package, but had cloth buckets with console shift. Less than three hours from Division on ramp in Spokane, WA. to I90 and I5 intersection in Seattle, WA. What fun it was to be young and stupid. Still...

    Classic average cars

Had a 1968 AMX (#1252). Build number was on the dash. It had the 390ci, with shift command 3 speed auto and manual capable floor shifter. Also had the go pac with all the heavy duty extras. Bright orange with black stripes. Really sorry since that I sold it. But I was just a kid, Jr/Sr yrs of HS...

How old is to old to ryde a Spyder or a Ryker?

My grandmother did not renew her driver's license at her 100th birthday. She was driving fine, didn't doddle, and never had an accident. She said "Its just time." My mother lived with her, so she had a Chauffeur. She pass a few years ago right before her 105th. I think she could have driven a...

    Millennials and Harley Davidson

I got my first dirt bike – the same manufacturer as my dad’s, when I was 7yo. When I was 16yo thru my 20s, I did not want a dressed Harley or later a Goldwing like my dad. I wanted the fast, sporty Kawasakis and Hondas. Now my daughter is 20yo and she could have my Goldwing for free or a used...
