• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    RT bulletin listing/as of 8/16/10

I just got off the phone with BRP rep Stephany and after her looking through all the RT bulletins was unable to find anything that says to change both oil filters at each service. She said to continue to go by the manual which says to change the SE5 transmission oil filter every 12,000 miles or...

Ok, help me understand. Are they now saying we need to change both oil filters every 3,000 miles if we have a SE5 transmission?

    Passenger Headset CB Question

My wife says she is unable to receive CB communications through the passenger headset. I had her turn her volume up and still no CB. I know the passenger can not transmit without the inline transmit button but shouldn't the passenger be able to receive CB comm?

Can Shortee Antenna Be Used For CB Only?

I'm referring to the CB antenna mounted on the left side of the bike. If this is your bike in the picture you do not have a CB and have the short antenna mounted where the AM/FM/Weather radio antenna is located which shouldn't be a problem since it is receive only. :dontknow: The shortee...

Can Shortee Antenna Be Used For CB Only?

No, it's much, much shorter... the factory CB antenna is physically about 34 inches long but is made of a fiberglass core with fine wire wrapped/coiled around (hence the small ribs) making for a lot longer antenna. The factory CB antenna is custom made and tuned for the correct 1/4 or 5/8...

Can Shortee Antenna Be Used For CB Only?

Ok, I have the definitive word from the RT CB Manufacturer and yes the shorter antenna could damage the CB. "Hello, Yes the CB is tuned to put out 4 watts maximum per the FCC. The CB antenna is pre tuned to have a SWR that is less than 2:1 where BRP has chosen to locate it on the vehicle...

    CB Antenna Broke Off!

Thanks for the P/N but BRP does not have that number in their system to even place an order. Hopefully the recent post on this forum about a BRP bulletin addressing antenna issues will resolve this.
