• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Smokey Mountain Beauty

My wife and I have had the pleasure of spending the past 5 days in a cabin outside Pigeon Forge, TN. We had planned to rent a bike if the weather allowed, but we didn't want to pack a bunch of of cold weather gear so we didn't get to ride. I believe you TN folks must go thru some tires...

It's been a while since I changed the plugs, but I don't remember it being difficult at all and I know I didn't remove the gauge cluster.

    First time on the Interstate.

Have fun and watch out for the gawkers. You would be surprised at the people that want to ride beside you and take pictures. Also, stay out of the blind spots.

Car Tires On My 09 GS?

I replaced the rear at 11,000 miles with a Kumho Ecsta AST. It has 34,000 on it and still has plenty left. I am happy with the life of the OEM fronts, so I stay with them.

+1 on the y gaskets. It won't take long to find out they are good or bad and it costs nothing to check (if you do it yourself).

    2013 RT Fire, 26 July 2014

Many people own newer models, 2011-2014, and may not realize that the Spyder catching on fire, for whatever reason, is not new. Search "2008 fire" in the forum and one will see that this has happened on more than one occasion since the bike first came out. The "whys" weren't exactly clear then...

Assuming you are not talking about an ST-S or a Limited, that sounds fair. They are running about $13,600 to $14,800 in Texas.

    2008 SE5 Shifting Question

I just read on another forum that to put a 2008 SE5 in reverse you have to hold the mode button and hold the downshift button then push the R button. Is this right?

    Shifter post adjustment?

My wife's is a 2008 so I don't know if the newer models changed. I rotated her shifter up on the spline the least I could, but found it was hitting the Tupperware on the up shift. I had to notch the plastic about 3/4" then all was well.
