• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ultimate has the gas door on the RT seat, what do you ride?

Bad news about Shorai battery sent back for testing

If you are looking for a Lithium Iron Phosphate battery for the Spyder check out EarthX. They have the cell balancing logic built into the battery so you can charge it with any modern charger like a battery tender. http://earthxmotorsports.com/ I would opt for their 36 eAh version. It will...

No, it won't. It's the new design with the large Cat and the flanged joint like the RT's.

    Ultimate Seat for the ST

As expected, the Ultimate seat for the GS/RS fits the ST perfectly. Note: this is the Low Rider meaning the drivers seat is 2" closer. My wife is 5' tall and it fits her perfectly. This seat is good for anyone 5' 4" and shorter. Any taller should opt for the Mid Rider which has a stock...

    Ultra Touring Windshield

It depends on which bike I'm riding but no, most of the time I look over. On my BMW I can raise the shield on the highway to throw the air over me and the passenger and then I'm looking through it. I just like the optics on the CeeBailey and find the CalSci cloudy in comparison, that's all.

32000.00 will get you nothing! Still no bike! UPDATED MAR 24

It's ALL about the dealership. Case in point, our local dealer, Daytona Fun Machines, has been nothing but stellar over the last 4 years servicing the wife's GS even though we didn't buy it there. She just bought an ST-S that we are picking up tomorrow. I called the service manager to see...

    Trying to purchase.

That's what I'm thinking. I've never been in a dealership where I've shown an interest and asked for a price where I wasn't given one. Can't say the same thing over the phone. The only time I've been able to successfully negotiate over the phone is when the dealer has advertised the bike/car...

    Trying to purchase.

Not true in the powersports world, especially with captive financing like Sheffield. It's not like the car dealerships and even those are not making the kinds of markups they used too since the captive finance companies are undercutting the local banks, where most of the kickbacks used to...

    Ultimate seat cover

I wouldn't be all that concerned about riding in the rain. I've ridden thousands of miles on an Ultimate in all weather conditions and they dry out just like every other seat out there without any ill effects. There's nothing special or unique about the foam and the vinyl is a top end marine...

    Ultra Touring Windshield

Not a big fan of the Cal-Sci shields, I don't like the optics in their shields and I've owned 3 of them. I need to bug Joe over at CeeBailey to get off his ass and make some shields for the ST and RT. Those are optically perfect and reasonably priced.

I can't believe it but Corbin still needs an ST

I thought they were built in Canada :roflblack: Just kidding, the wife's Magnesium ST-S was built today at Daytona Fun Machines. New ball joints and a alignment on top of the rest of the PDI. We'll be there @ 9:00 with bells on..... :ohyea: I'm doing the Radio, Bluetooth, iPod and Heated...

32000.00 will get you nothing! Still no bike! UPDATED MAR 24

No, you aren't supposed to believe that. I mearly suggested it as a way of determining if this particular bike had incorrect alignment under the riders weight. It's not the factory procedure. The factory procedure has the dealer replace the shocks with struts that lower the bike to a preset...

    FYI on 2013 alignment procedures

Well, considering the trouble they are having with dealers being able to set toe-in it's not surprising they keep the adjustments to a minimum. As long as they keep the frame tolerances in check it shouldn't need to be adjusted if the initial build falls within spec. It's interesting that...

    FYI on 2013 alignment procedures

Lamont, Do you know if there are camber and caster settings as well as toe on the new design? Toe in is only one factor that can effect directional stability. In fact, caster has a much greater effect on tracking than toe in.

32000.00 will get you nothing! Still no bike! UPDATED MAR 24

No, it's not a design problem, it's simply one of getting the unit properly setup from the start. I have no idea why this one has been so difficult but I suspect it's partially due to untrained hands making changes that have spiraled in the wrong direction. I don't see it as any more sensitive...

32000.00 will get you nothing! Still no bike! UPDATED MAR 24

Agreed, it would seem basic troubleshooting is beyond this dealer's capabilities. Simply setting the toe to various degrees of toe in and testing it would yield the type of diagnostic information needed to start ruling out things. Maybe they've done that but aren't communicating effectively...

I can't believe it but Corbin still needs an ST

Actually Ultimate owned a GS when they developed that seat and he traded it on an RT to develop the RT seat. You can't develop these type of accessories without a bike to trial fit the parts on.

    STS shock question

I tend to agree and I can't find the specific thread but I recall someone saying the geometry and spring settings on the new products were set up so maximum sag is determined by maximum vehicle weight and the struts they supply for alignment simulate that ride height. This keeps the toe at a...
