• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Seat options - ST

I'll need to measure the two wheni get back from the Spyder event but my guess is the 3/8" difference didn't matter on ours (if my 2 pans are different) due to manufacturing tolerances. I would think you could easily grind/sand the portion of the offending pan to prevent the interference...

    Seat options - ST

The seat pan for the ST, RS and GS are essentually identical, not sure why the one you tried didn't work but the forward pin can be moved more than one inch front to back and well over 1 inch in and out. in this thread you can see an Ultimate seat, built on a 2009 GS pan that came off my...

    New ST Limited Stalling

Pretty much everything you've said is accurate however there is no excuse for a modern closed loop fuel injected motor to stall under normal operation. It stalls because something in the system is out of spec or the base map isn't fully developed. The fact it clears over time would seem to...

    Kaoko cruise

It's surprising that BRP doesn't offer a cruise upgrade for the base ST. One of the reasons we went with the ST-S was to get the cruise control (plus she likes the blacked out look better) :ohyea:

    Wire to rear light ...beware

That's really strange since those wires are captured under the fender liner. When I installed the radio and 3rd brake light on Joyce's ST all the wires were nicely bundled under the fender liner. Are you talking about the wires to the tail light / turn signals or the wire to the license plate...

    ST Shocks

    New ST Limited Stalling

Whether its normal is debatable. Ours was throwing codes and BRP had the dealer do a complete system reload, much more than a simple push over the diag connector and it seemed to clear most of it up. An engine doesn't stall because its tight, that's complete and utter BS. It stalls because...

    ST Shocks

The combination of the new suspension geometry, revised sway bar and the spring rate they chose works very well IMHO. Compared to our '08 GS cranked up all the way with an aftermarket sway bar it has less body role but a more compliant ride. It's a huge improvement, I wouldn't jump to the...

    ST Road Trip Impressions

Honestly, unless you've ridden your wife's RT the same distance you have no idea whether it would cause the same pain. Just because she doesn't have back issues means nothing. You will take a massive hit on the ST, probably close to $4k so I suggest you try some different seats. While...

    Can Warped Rotors be turned/trued?

No, they cannot be trued, there isn't enough material on them to turn them like car rotors. If the Spyder is still under warranty they should be replaced. Normal wear is not covered but warping is not normal.

    NEED HELP! ST-S IS SICK!!

Just ride it, the codes will become history codes once the systems have good data. For now all they know is they sensed the rear moving without the front and until that data is replaced those codes stay current.

    Packing while riding...

Agreed, I'll admit to transporting on occasion because just like I'm not an ATGATT rider I'm also not an absolutist when it comes to concealed carry. :2thumbs:

    Packing while riding...

If its not on your person or within reach where you can grab it in less than 2 seconds then you are transporting your weapon, not "packing" it. I'm not trying to be a wise ass, I just want everyone to realize that in the frunk or a side bag is too far to be useful in an emergency which is why...

    ST radio to bluetooth headset?

That cable will not work on the ST as there is no helmet out jack to plug it into, the ST does not have intercom like the RT. You also won't get bike power without the factory harness unless you have the 12V outlet. For the ST you really need to buy the actual BRP kit to get the harnesses you...

    ST Audio Speaker Upgrade

The speakers in the ST are not a standard car size, they are 5" like the Goldwing. 5.25" speakers WILL NOT FIT. They are also a lot better than any OEM speaker I've seen in a while. They look like aftermarket considering they have a directional tweeter and a magnet that's almost as large as...

    ST Limited Windshield Suggestions

Right now the only options are the CalSci and factory touring shield. Be forewarned, the CalSci optical clarity is not at the same level as the factory shield but it does not suffer from the distortion the factory shield does due to the top lip. my wife thought the same until she used the...

    Cruise Control on the RT

Everybody who's ever ridden who started out BEFORE cruise was available on bikes invariably thinks cruise is a waste of money until they get a bike with it! Then, they are forever ruined. Just like someone's first M/C audio system or windshield..... You never knew you needed it until you have...

    SENA INFO. from Dave

You need the SMH10 or SMH10R headsets (1 or 2 depending on whether you have a pillion) + SM10 transceiver + 1 sc-a0123 cable. The cable will plug into the front headset 7 pin connector, the passenger connector will no longer be used. You then pair your helmet and your pillion's helmet to the...
