• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Summer heat is on its way

Rather than reply to PMs looking for this link, I'm just posting to make this visible again. Summer heat is here! I was told last year by my dealership that a biker died last summer after riding all day in summer heat, wearing a leather vest with jeans and boots, and drank coffee as he rode...

    New FOBO user

I have my front tires set at 19 psi (17-23.5) and the rear set at 28 (26-35.5). The front tires normally track 1-2 degrees above ambient temperature, while the rear tire stays perhaps 10-15 degrees above ambient. The back tire may get hotter riding down the interstate during the middle of...

Okay... I DO Like The Looks Of It!

Bob - where'd you find the pics? I can't find a reference to the 2018s anywhere. Are you a Can-Am insider?

Thread just for us old Type-1 diabetic insulin pump wearing Spyder Ryders

Yes, MUCH tougher than I expected. I tried to simulate the pump with frequent shots but really didn't nail it. Plus, I found myself reaching for my hip to look at my current BS, which of course wasn't there. I never went nuclear as in above 400 or below 50, but I was definitely armed and...

Thread just for us old Type-1 diabetic insulin pump wearing Spyder Ryders

Bob - Since you revived this post.... This isn't directly related to ryding with a pump, but... Over Memorial Day I was in the North Georgia mountains and my pump died with a Motor Error - error code said I'd exposed it to EMP although I have no idea how. So, I drove into Blue Ridge on...

Trial run camping trip with the dogs

OK, call the Thread Police!! I'm amazed at how many of you big, tough bykers have itty bitty sissy dogs! :lecturef_smilie: Bob ... Tinkerbell?? However, Kaos can keep his Man Card with that great dane! I must confess, my wife has had a series of Bijon Frise (French for cute and dumb) with...

Kudos (again) to TRICLED - My new LED fender mounted spotlights

I installed TRICLEDs fender mounted spotlights. They are VERY bright (they come with a dimmer, not an on/off switch). They look good and really show other drivers that I'm there - and a better idea of the width of the byke. I haven't had a chance to use them at night, but they are as bright...

    RT Half-Cover Question

Show chrome 1/2 cover, F4 wide windshield, and Rivco luggage rack. I have no problems fitting the cover over the byke.

    RT Half-Cover Question

I also have the Big Bike Parts 1/2 cover and it works fine for me. All of these come with a bag and don't take up much space. If space is a serious consideration, buy a small compression sack at an outdoors and camping store - these bags have straps that are used to squeeze their contents and...

    Threads cost money

This is no different than when we were kids - I had a '68 Cuda with a perfectly good radio, but I just knew if I replaced the speakers and radio it would sound better. I replaced them, and the new system sounded almost as good although the cassette playback speed was slow and the radio...

windshield RT ltd 2011 has a lot of lateral play

I concur with Bob - removing the windshield and windshield support and examining the pivot points is relatively easy and the right place to start. If they are loose, digging down to their connection points underneath involves removing the mirrors, front cowling (over the headlights) and the...

DRIVERS BACK REST FOR RT LTD

One thought that doesn't really answer your question.... If you're convinced that you're going to stick with the stock seat go ahead and pursue a backrest. If you find the stock seat uncomfortable, don't spend your $ until you find the seat you like.

    Buying decisions

One more vote for Sena I bought the Sena 20S - good sound, reliable, easy to operate, no wires, FM tuner built in, allows for group communication, cheaper than the Can-Am CB. In the past I've had the Cardo Bluetooth set and I like these better. Another thought, I find relatively few ryders...

    Spyderpops signal lights

It is interesting watching the video - you can see the LEDs come on instantly while the rear lights take just a moment to brighten up. Another plus for LEDs.
