• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Missing fingers right hand

I have a friend that cannot use her fingers due an injury that left them turned up. She has been using a cramp buster but beware, the one she bought did not fit the grip very well, a bit too loose and our grips are tapered at each end. She is contantly trying to readjust due to it working to...

What is your highway "sweet spot" speed

With my 2014 I get my best miles per gallon around 55 but other than that I drive the speed limit + 5%, so 60 will be 63 on the GPS or 64 on the speedo. I do not believe I have a favored sweet spot, I have been over 100 mph and no issues.

    CB problems - promising development!

I was getting a feed back squeal after I install my amplifier (stock CanAm CB). To get around this I modified the push to talk button to disconnect the amp during transmit. As soon as I push the button it disconnects the blue wire that turns on the amp on. I accomplished this by adding a brass...

    Am I missing something?

I took an extra gallon of gas on a trip and decided to push it to see how far one tank would take me on my 2014 RTS. I filled up with 92 octane with no ethanol then took the freeway, keeping it locked on 60 mph by GPS. The light finally came on but I knew I was covered but the traffic started...

    Akrapovic baffles

Thanks for this thread, I just bought one and it was way too loud. After seeing this I realized I too did not have the baffles. I contacted my dealer and he had an 2014 still in stock and he is willing to swap me out which is great. Apparently they are no longer shipped with baffles! Had I...

Is it possible to install a Remote start on a Spyder?

Again, a simple question with a lot of opinions instead of answers. Yes, it has been done but there is a lot to it. Basically it has to have a go no go circuit to check to see if it is in neutral, after that it is a simple timer that allows enough time for the boot up to be completed. The rest...

    Akrapaviche muffler

After viewing another members picture I realize I do not have baffles in this muffler. I called my dealer and he is willing to swap it out with one that does. Got to love a good dealer (Life Style Honda in Mt. Vernon WA.). Looking forward to a much quieter muffler, lol. I the mean time I put...

how to turn off the kill switch?

Whether I agree with it or not it was simple question that did not include a request for opinions. This happens far too often in here. If you feel someones question is irrational don't comment. Otherwise attempt to answer it if you are able or let those that can do so. I hate the switch at...

    F3-T or Harley Freewheeler...hmmm

I have ridden both and can tell you that the Canam is the safer, more comfortable ride. I recently rode with a Honda conversion and I could easily loose him in the corners. The safety features built into my 2014 RT help to ensure that the wheels stay planted. Power wise we were pretty much...

    TricLED 3rd/4th brake lights

I hope to be taking the parts off again this weekend now that my mini disconnects have arrived from Amazon. I have to say I was more than surprised when I discovered that the two panels cannot be separated for maintenance purposes. While it is an easy fix, the correct connectors are worth...

    Farkles - Always DIY?

My kids claim to be mechanically challanged but I think it is more of a matter of lack of confidence. When I was 16 I had little or no mechanical skills but buying a 56 Pontiac changed that. I could not afford to take it in for repairs so I simply picked up the right tools and started down the...

    Akrapaviche muffler

I have the baffles in but I find the muffler to loud for my taste, I am seriously thinking of selling it and goint back to the old set up. I put about 75 miles on it so far so I will give it a bit more time but not impressed. One thing I can say it has made a power difference, when I came out...

Rear Led Strip for the Trunk

I ordered the trick light set and installed yesterday. I linked them up to my upper running/break light which I had set up with a strobe when the brake is applied. Now if I have something on my luggage rack the two new LED strips flash as well.

No Codes, I took it for a run yesterday. It is a bit louder but mid-range is snappier now.
