• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2024 RT Ltd Cruise Control Indicator Light not showing - anyone else?

Ahhhh ok, thanks Bruce ... I can live with the bug in the book, so they won't have to tear my new machine apart :) I'm probably not the first to ask, see below: Turn the cruise control to ON by sliding the cruise control button to the right The cruise control status will light in gray in the...

2024 RT Ltd Cruise Control Indicator Light not showing - anyone else?

Should I see an indication on the display if I just turn on (not engaging) the CC? The manual said yes, however, I can't see any indication if I have not set a speed to maintain. However, I do have the green indicator when the CC is set to a speed Error in the book or a little bug on my machine?

From a Goldwing to an Spyder RT Limited ...

I miss the right-hand brake lever too ... actually, I'm still searching for it sometimes ... I'm new to all that, but I'm not sure how I like to step on the brake pedal in a hot turn where I have to brace to avoid being ejected LOL ... Yes, I know we shouldn't brake in a turn ... but hey...

From a Goldwing to an Spyder RT Limited ...

I already have friends who make fun of my Spyder, it's done with humor and maybe with a little jealousy lol but I have no ego, I do what I like, in fact I named our Spyder 'Scooter' in reference to the mobility gizmo that elderly people might use to move around ... it's all in good fun.

From a Goldwing to an Spyder RT Limited ...

After about a week and 500 miles I can say that I don't miss my Goldwing at all. As you get older and retire, even thinking about falling on the ground, even at low speed is worrying - you don't heal quickly, and ruining your retirement is also to be considered in these cases. This is why the...

Anyone Using Gates Carbon Drive App to Check/Adjust Belt Tension?

Interesting. However, where did you get a chart to compare under different tensions? For me, having 31hz is nice, but at the end of the day, what does it mean? :dontknow:

Learning about my RT bit by bit

Thanks Woodaddict. Any reason why you would choose the shock bolts versus the frame? OK, I'll look online for the manual; it's always good to have one, new Spyder or not! I spent my life turning wrenches and I'm always curious to learn how things work. Thanks for your post.

Learning about my RT bit by bit

I got my new RT Tuesday, of course I couldn't care less about the bolts, the washer, and the battery. But now it's raining, and I decided to inspect the undercarriage, the battery location, suspension, etc, etc. I've noticed a plastic... well, let's call it skid plate, right in the middle (or...

PMK.... I'm French Canadian, we are almost 8 million in the province of Quebec. We have our fair share of *******'s; however, rest assured that you have a few in the USA too :) Car manufacturers come to mind, also don't forget about the junk built in Indiana named RV, proudly built by...

Downshifting techniques, I need your advice on best technique?

I'm getting better at it. Today a ride of about 25 miles in twisties, up and downhill, the perfect road to hone my skills; and I let the Nanny do her thing! Like you all said, that's the way to go... but it's still harsh, gears seem to slam pretty hard sometimes... I'm gonna get used to it, I...
