• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Another Nice Dealer

Last Saturday a chuck of asphalt fell off a truck on the freeway and bounced directly at me. That chunk hit the edge of the bumpskid with a huge bang. I checked the front of my RT and found the bumpskid took a majority the hit. The chuck of asphalt left a very small ding on the edge of the...

    drive belt video

For me, after adjusting the belt to 3mm, I have had the least of the belt rumble in that mid 70mph range. The tension on my Kricket read 240 lbs. The dealer said they tested the belt tension and found it to average around 1000N. The dealer also said he did not touch the adjustment and "see...

    drive belt video

I guess I am not seeing the problem. My belt is set at 3mm and was just at the dealer a short time ago with the comment that the belt was set "perfect." The spec is 1-5mm off of the rear flange. You are there. The belt does move slightly as you drive. I watched the video and kept looking...

    RT 2014 or 2015?

A couple of things come to mind 2014 vs 2015. Some 2014's have noisy fuel pumps and then there is the DESS problem that seems to be more prevalent in the 2014's. Then there will always be the resale value difference between model years. Gunner

    Baker Built Belt Stabilizer

For those who have installed the Baker Stabilizer on their RT's, I was curious to know if after installation of the stabilizer, did the belt tracking change and need to be readjusted? Gunner

First Service with Laser Alignment@Caswell Cycle

Had a laser alignment done with my first service (3k) at Caswell Cycle in Mora, MN. The only thing I want to say regarding the laser alignment is...you don't know how bad you needed one until you get one! Even with the wind, I could tell it made a positive difference and the handle bars are...

    First Belt Alignment--Lessons Learned

I thought about torquing it from the other side, but looking at all the things that axle bolt goes through that could provide resistance to the torque, I just used the witness marks. Next time I might try to torque from the left side and see where I line up in relation to the witness marks...

    First Belt Alignment--Lessons Learned

I couldn't wait any longer to get to the dealer to get my drive belt alignment set. I was getting a lot of rumbling, belt dust, and noticed that the belt was up against the rear flange. I started off following the youtube example of putting the rear tire up in the air and adjusting the belt...

    Lightweight Ramps

I've had my RT about a month now and needed to change the oil for the 3k oil change. I had a couple of lightweight ramps from EZcarlift's low profile oil changing kit that I thought I would try out. The ramps raise the Spyder about 3 3/4" which was about right for me to change oil and doing...

    Pulled the trigger

Congrats! We got our 2015 RT Limited about a month ago and have logged almost 3k miles. In fact, we just returned from a two day trip driving the south and north shores of Lake Superior. Wife is very comfy and sometimes I find her in the garage just sitting in the passenger seat. LOL She is...

    Baker Built Belt Tensioner

New to the forum since we took delivery of our 2015 RT Limited a little over a week ago. After 41 years of two-wheel riding, I decided to try three-wheel riding and both me and my wife really like it. One of the things I found to be a problem is the drive belt vibration in the 71-76 mph zone...
