• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Your Weather News @ June 2024

Idaho weather has been very cool the last half of May. After a warm and barely winter, the spring has been wet. So today the high is 52 and we have had a week of weather in the 70 s. Looks like it’ll get to 80 in a week.

Why do I need to re-log in after changing threads?

Glad it’s fixed. On my iPad where you sign in there’s a remember me box to click.

My solution to the Bajaron Ultra sway-bar 'clunk'!

Very interesting thread. Our Spyder would probably benefit from some modifications. It’s a '23 that’s bone stock and works fine. It’s almost always ridden 2 up and even though it’s my third Spyder, I’ve never encountered the nanny. My girlfriend on the back voices concern if I get too frisky, so...

Trying to decide between this 2019 RT Ltd or a 2024 year/model - advice?

I had a 2019 Spyder RT Limited and it was ok. However, the 2023 is a lot better. Much smoother at 80 mph. The 2019 had a vibration at high speeds. It had a recall for the sprocket that never was fixed, since it was not worn enough.

Riders Share - has anyone tried or rented their bike out ?

Yea I don’t even let my friends ride the Spyder and I’m not about to let a stranger use it.

Does Cruise Control shut off on rolling off throttle - 2017 Ltd??

Yea our 2023 won’t cancel cc with forward twist of throttle.

What Budget Comms Systems are available/do you like?

I use the Sena 20s evo. Works great for communicating with riding buddies. Listening to music could use more volume.

    Who Uses Shell Rotella T-6

Great oil thread! I've read most of the comments. I am a Mobil 1 fan myself and that has been the predominant oil in my motorcycles for the past 15 or more years. Mobile 1 racing 4T was my go-to oil. I generally try to stick with the recommendation for viscosity the manufacturer suggests. I’ve...

Non-painted gloss black parts - any tricks or finishes to stop them scratching easily

I just ordered a carbon fiber cover from wrap my spyder to cover the switch cover lid. It goes all the way up on those thin sides. I watched the install video and it looks doable. Our 23 RT had a raccoon explore our spyder one night last summer in Stanley Idaho. He left a scratch on it as well...

Does the Spyder have an intercom, & will GPS Option connect to my helmet?

I like apple car play. I use it in my GMC Canyon. I feel for all those that bought a 2024 Spyder. We got a new 23 RTL last year which has had zero problems. Glad I didn’t wait till this year to get one. My iPhone is paired along with the Sena 20 helmet communicator. So at least things work as...

Considering 2023 RT base vs 2023 RT Sea to Sky - is the S2S worth it?

Sorry to hear your new Spyder has problems. Hopefully the dealer will make it right. Last year we got a new '23 RTL. We looked at the S2S, but we kinda wanted a red one. So our 2023 RTL has heated passenger grips and heated seat as well as drivers' heated grips and seat. So far, it’s been...

Should I worry about speakers/dash when Washing my Spyder? What do you do?

Good stuff to know how others wash their Spyders. I wash with a gentle spray and have tried to keep the speakers and switch gear as dry as I can.

There seems to be an abundance of 2019 RT's selling - what gives?

I had a 2019 that I bought used. It was a nice bike but the 2023 that we now have is in my opinion a better machine. It rides better with less vibration at 80 mph. The oil changes are much easier since it has a smaller removable side pod to access the oil filter. It also seems more comfortable...

Spyderlovers - Facebook - Or Both?

Another vote for spyder lovers. Never signed up for FB and glad I haven’t. Don’t plan on ever using it. So since I can’t compare it to Spyderlovers maybe my vote will not count.

    First EV Roadtrip

I’ve been watching The Long Way Up with Ewen McGregor and Charley Boorman. It’s about a trip from South Argentina to Los Angeles. They got Rivian to build 2 custom pickup trucks to go along on the ride. One of the early pictures involves Rivian towing one of their trucks around their test track...

Does my new Spyder need a Break in period or service? First service?

It makes sense to read the manual even before you get it. Sometimes it takes reading something several times before it sinks in. Even the starting of a Spyder can be daunting if you’ve never done it. When I picked my first one up I went for some lunch after the purchase and upon trying to start...

    Electric Spyder next?

A Spyder that could go 900 miles on a ten minute charge would be very cool. Especially if it was lighter, more powerful, and costs less.

Is Maintenance Access any easier on an F3S?

Our 2023 RT is much easier to get at the oil filter when changing oil. One little panel comes off easily to get to the filter.
