• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Stranded on hwy transmission out

They absolutely would if they were investigating a problem that was starting to look like a pattern. Have seen it myself with 2001 Z06 Corvettes that were burning oil and ended up having to be re-ringed. My guess is that if this is a pattern we'll see a recall here pretty soon.

Finally Got the Nanny to Slap Me!!!

Are you sure about that? Most cars measure yaw...as in..."Is this thing pointed in the direction it should be given steering input, throttle, and braking?". That's very important to a stability system.

    Stranded on hwy transmission out

Yes and no. If it's an easy fix sure. But if it's tearing apart a transmission? No. I doubt many dealers have the capacity to have several bikes being worked on at once so if they drop everything for a lengthy repair that really impacts their normal business.

Front end alignment/semi rant (Laser aligning is a MUST do)

And that's the thing. They can't align it for everyone. I suspect that's why some are fine and others aren't. Also, these are very different than a car in one big way. Weight. I'm 150lbs. If I go sit in my 5500lb Jeep Grand Cherokee that's not a huge difference. When I go sit on a 700lb...

    Helmet guide for 2014 video

A little..but I attribute that to needing to seal around the edges of the new visor I put on.

    Three wheeled mutant trike

We've already seen in other applications that the existing V can put out more power. That's what many of us RS/RS-S owners want. I don't want the heavier triple. I want NO more weight added to my RS-S..I want less. Give me the extra power from the V and shave some weight.

Sena SMH-10 Firmware Update Ver 5.0 Released

That's correct. Bluetooth doesn't go nearly as far. 50ft is probably about it. But useful. You could actually talk to someone on a plain BlueTooth handsfree headset using this.

    New mapping for 2013 spyders

    What are you seeing now?

    Three wheeled mutant trike

But I bet the RS/RS-S is still faster. That new engine is good for low end torque and pulling trailers..not for higher end acceleration. That plus the extra weight and the RS-S is still the sport bike.

    Insurance for new Spyder

Yes. I say this a lot in these threads but premiums are useless without also talking coverage and location. The best State Farm here in NC would do is $80/month on my new RS-S. I'm looking elsewhere...but if I match coverage others are cheaper but not as cheap as many here have. I can cut...

Whos NOT upgrading to 2014 ?

Yeah. Bought my 2013 after the 14s were out so no. :) But it also doesn't help that the 2014 RS-S is the same vehicle I have now.

    Oil stopped burning--WHAT??

That's not uncommon. I've had cars before (such as my Z06 Vette) that burned a bit of oil at first and finally wore in and stopped completely. It's a good thing.

    I have a problem…

They aren't charging any freight, prep, or doc fees at all? I've never seen anyone do that. I'd confirm that and make sure you see that on their paper.

    Spyder RT a "Toy" ?

You didn't read the second defition by Merriam-Webster: something that an adult buys or uses for enjoyment or entertainment That sums up my Spyder for me. I'm an adult and have all sorts of toys.

    I can't help myself

I agree almost completely with you Rob. I like my foot brake but wouldn't mind a hand brake either... But I'd love a "high end" RS-S. If they want to make the RS the lower end/cheap bike fine. But make a good high-end sport model. I'd be all over it. Want to bring in younger customers...

    I can't help myself

It's only on the 2014 RS-S. I wish they'd give it to the 2013s too. Should be no reason they couldn't.

    I can't help myself

Life is full of what-ifs. What if the plane I'm on right now doesn't make it? What if I was in an accident in my Jeep on the way to the airport? You take your risks. That's why I'm on a RS-S and not a full sport bike. You go find what makes you happy. As for the topic... I want to see the...

    Any reviews on 2014 RS?

Pretty good talk about the RS being revised next year (MY2015). If I had a 2012 I wouldn't go to a 2014. Just not enough difference. I'd hold out a bit longer.
