• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    O2 modifier - VERY HAPPY

Tubes No, I am actually referring to the Hard plastic velosity stacks inside the air box just above, and bolted to, the engine intake. I removed the rubber tubes you are refering to in order to allow unrestricted air flow into the box. The addition of a cold air intake into the stock box with...

    O2 modifier - VERY HAPPY

Proof The proof is in the theory of fuel/air tuning and velosity stacks--You can read the same info that I have. I did some research on the subject since it was of interest to me. To my knowledge the KewlMetal system has never been ran on a Dino so there is no proof for that particular piece...

Proof?? Maybe you will just have to prove it yourself (one way or the other) through your own research.:doorag:

tuning That is something you will just have to decide for yourself. There is good information available (research) on fuel/air tuning, velosity stacks & effects there of. The KewlMetal filter will no doubt increase flow over the stock set-up; However it does also tinker with the fuel/air...

    O2 modifier - VERY HAPPY

Air The "Green" filter will flow about 2x the air the factory filter will deliver, while providing excellent particle filtration. At max RPM's the Green filter should deliver all the air the engine can ingest. Eliminating or altering the velosity stack tuning ( in the factory box) is a...

    O2 modifier - VERY HAPPY

intake I actually had the KewlMetal intake (sold it on this web site) didn't like the noise and the Green filter seemed to provide the same or better performance. The Kewl Metal set-up eliminates the "Velosity stacks" built into the air box, thus making performance gains suspect.:doorag:

    Lamont's IPS Key Holder

UPDATE I tried the foam rubber trick and it works fine---Virtually removes all the IPS movement in the key slot. I just put two small pieces of foam rubber on the plate that holds the key in and it works fine.:f_spider:

    O2 modifier - VERY HAPPY

O2 mod I've had mine on now for about 500 miles and haven't noticed the kind of improvement others have described. I have noticed some improvement in low speed drivability.:doorag:

    Lamont's IPS Key Holder

IPS Thanks Lamont----Don't think there is any excessive vibration from the Spyder--But the foam sounds like a good idea to me. Where would you put the foam to not interfere with the operation of the trunk latch? BTW I really like the looks and operation of the IPS--is a very high quality...

    Lamont's IPS Key Holder

IPS The key in the IPS is very tight. The movement is in the ignition switch, guess the added mass of the IPS is the reason for the movement.:dontknow:

    Juicebox and low speed burble

shut down You got that right--A little more than scarry when you are sitting on 100 mph and passing a line of three or four trucks doing everybit of 80 mph--and your Spyder shuts down just as you pull back into their lane.:yikes::pray:. Needless to say I adjusted the #5&#6 modes to give them a...

    Lamont's IPS Key Holder

IPS I really think they look cool also-:ohyea:-but mine jiggles/vibrates going down the road. It doesn't appear to be working itself out, but just wondering what it is doing to the key slot.:dontknow:

    Fuel

Octane :agree: I will say that (at least in my experience) there is more than a slight loss of power when the engine has to retard timing in order to accommodate a cheaper fuel.nojoke

Logic :agree: That is some pretty good sound logic. A belt idler (on a long belt) seems to me to be something BRP left out of their design.
